I agree with Nahemah and Gandridur, and would like to add: who made the rule that sex
has to be about reproduction, or
has to be between people of opposite genders? We can still live "as one people" instead of "two genders" without forsaking sex

Who made rule? Well they are dead long ago(thankfully) and will remain anonymous. They dont deserve anything else.

Its all about social control and nothing else. Sure back in the Norse time it was accepted being gay. No one forbade it. But that doesn't mean everything was like it can be today, depending on where you live. They had the same hypocritical attitude like they have in eastern islamic countries: Only the guy who gets penetrated is despised becuase he is seen as female. And the classical greek era only male homosexuality was accepted. But only between the older teacher and his younger disciple. I thankfully live in a country where less than the half of thepopulation belong to a religion and where religion doesn't have any power. But we can look at countries, Ireland e.g. where homosexuality was a crime until 1993. Which they church protested against, the repeal of the Act. But hey, fucking young boys is a another thing, chatholic priests, right?
