Hello folks, I am pretty happy right now. I am happy because I just fired the seal (sigil) of Vassago (info on him in 5 4 3 2 1):

The Third Spirit is a Mighty Prince, being of the same nature as Agares. He is called Vassago. This Spirit is of a Good Nature, and his office is to declare things Past and to Come, and to discover all things Hid or Lost. And he governeth 26 Legions of Spirits, and this is his Seal.

Well, I didn't actually plan on calling him, but when I read his description
and looked at his seal, something sparked within me (I think my Voice)
that screamed, "He is the one!" So I thought about it for a short time,
and I asked myself if I was willing to accept the danger that might come
from dealing with such a being; I soon decided that I was indeed willing.

As soon as I fired it, his voice came to me (it was calming to me, and I think of velvet when I look at his seal). He instantly got to the point with "Why have you summoned me?" and, as many attest occurs, the conversation was "on the same wavelength". I told him that the only thing I needed from him was that my Astronomy textbook be found and returned to me (it is an eighty dollar book, and I lost it before I got it home lol... first time so I am somewhat nervous about it). He knew (he didn't have to say it) that that was not the real reason, but he apparently respected my request kindly and assured me that it would be returned to me. I did the LBRP astrally (works better for me), and I felt some anxiety about what could possibly happen before I did the LBRP; still, the calming and banishment of the LBRP got rid of the anxiety. I grounded chaos-magick style by laughing, and I watched some TV.

It is not much, and I am not even trying to compare this to what Ceremonial Magicians do, but I must say that I feel very satisfied with the whole affair (moreso than how I felt in my first semi-formal summoning).

BTW, I am noticing that my Claraudience is now crystal clear, and the connection between the Voice (which I am from now on calling my HGA, as that is what I feel it is) is deeper (if that is possible... I wish the English language had words for these things...). Also, my Sphere of Awareness is noticably more sensitive/large

I was expecting people to hurl stones at me lol... thanks for the kind words. I don't know, this just feels right and I am glad I listened to my HGA on this one; without the guiding words, I would probably never contact a Goetic, and I think I really would miss something if I went through my magical life (corny) in such a fashion.

I don't masturbate to fire sigils. I just stop thinking, and just do it. I sometimes hell "Fire!" within my mind, but most of the time I just let myself fire it; I try not to get in my way with elaborate ritual.

As soon as I fired it, I just called out to him and he was there at the same instant I did so. I am used to same-wavelength conversation (my HGA formerly known as the Voice speaks in the same manner when I don't ask it not to [gets confusing... at least for me]). The conversation only lasted for about 10 seconds, so I can't say it was an inspiring conversation, but I didn't want to start off treating him like well.... a demon. I enforced the fact that I am my circle in my mind, and Vassago didn't try anything (as far as I can tell).

And to top it all off, the LBRP I did was perhaps the most effective I have ever done.

Do you attribute this to THIS summoning experience, or to some other exercises you've been doing? If the latter, which ones?

Why would anyone throw stones at you for this? It looks like you did a good job and posted some interesting results. What's not to like?

Well, I haven't been doing the LBRP or any other exercises lately, so I don't know what to chalk it up to. I really don't care that much at the moment, I am enjoying the results without constantly trying to locate the origin. But after all, he does preside over such things...

Anyway, so far no book, but I have a feeling it will come my way in due time. I am not looking for instant results, just for it to return to me before I need it for an assignment or before I have to return it. I was pretty enraged today (cutting grass makes me angry), and I welcomed Vassago to use the energy that I was expelling to complete my request. So far, I don't have any classical signs of demonic trouble, so I do believe the descriptions of Vassago are true (they say he is a spirit of good nature [could mean anything lol...]),

O.F.I.N., I said that because the manner in which I called upon the demon is considered to be hasty and pretty foolish by many Ceremonial Magicians (Chaos Magicians don't think twice about it though lol... we are the stuntmen of the occult world lol). Thanks for proving me otherwise, folks!

Turning off the internal dialogue is a prerequisite for many magickal systems including Castaneda and Crowley (it's the practical value of doing all that damn raja yoga).

However, I'm with you that it's impressive. i've been working on shutting off my internal dialogue for years, and sometimes it's still impossible. However, more and more often I find the dialogue shutting down on its own, and i don't notice until afterward that i've been completely silent for moments on end.

I have always been able to silence my mind, but I really got good at it when first trance sleeping (putting the body to sleep, and keeping the mind awake).

I may fire his sigil again soon, and ask him how the task is progressing.

Congrats on your first evokation! Great choice also. My first evokation was with Agares and he responded within hours of my request in helping me find a friend's kitty. I made sure to put a definite time limit to the request (usually, 24 to 48 hours) and I followed through with my reward a few weeks later. If you are eager for a second evokation, try Agares.

I find that my requests are answered more consistently with rewards. Actually, I haven't performed an evokation without offering a reward. Don't worry, the rewards are not life threatening. I find that most entities respond quite well to such simple rewards as posting their sigil around the neighborhood.

Honestly (honesty and compassion are quickly becoming big themes in my life...), I have not. It still has nine weeks left, and we don't do anything in that class but eat and watch movies, so it isn't like I am going to need the book anytime soon. I am curious myself to see when it comes my way, but the fine is thirty dollars, so if it doesn't come my way, I will certainly live. I encourage the curiousity, it is a good quality to have!
