Need Some Help With Burning Incense

Post by Napoli »

We don't have charcoal briquettes in my country. I could never sage my home or myself because they don't sell smudge sticks or incense of the necessary herbs. I doubt the incense that are available in the market will be of any use or whether they are natural.

Today I went to a store and purchased a bottle of powdered coconut charcoals. Do you think I can substitute it for charcoal briquettes? How can I light it? What other alternatives do you suggest? TIA.

A candle.
Some sticks.
Delay composition.
Make your own oil lamp.
Order online.
Coal.
Barbecue briquettes.
Tightly packed fabric.

What is delay composition?

Are you suggesting that I put the herbs in a bag, tie it and burn it on the charcoal or a heat-proof bowl?

delay composition is a pyrotecnic product.
Those were not suggestions in order but different alternatives.

Fabric is flammable, but oxygen makes it burn too fast. So if you pack it really tightly it doesn't get as much oxygen and burns slower.

You can also add things that don't burn like salt to slow down the process. Small stones, mud, metal anything that won't catch fire.

Also remember that you can basically stir fry any incense, just add fire/heat/electricity to a fire-resistant material like an old soda-can and burn the incense on that.

Didn't you smoke weed in college? Everything is a bong if you're desperate enough.
