I am out of ideas for servitors to make, and I'm bored.
I just got rid of one I had been working with for awhile. He got me pretty good results, and he was fed by low level astral critters, such as other servitors, that he met up with on the astral plane. He was based off of a popular character on a popular show on television. He worked GREAT at first, then eventually stopped working as well. He's mostly destroyed, and now don't have any good ideas on what to create next.

I am actually working on a prank viral servitor with another OFer. It's designed to generate temporary (and harmless) sexual attractions to random every day objects. We're designing it so that it can be caught "accidently" similar to a cold or virus.
You can always find some interesting ideas once you start applying humor to the magic you are usually accustomed to taking seriously.

It actually would be quite refreshing if someone would come up with a viral sense of humor. But somehow I doubt that will happen any time soon. xoxo

Well, if you want... you have two more wishes BTW
Hey no offense to anybody present but... y'all in this forum appear to do *way* more evocation than I do. I get by on deities and sigils, mostly, unless a creature needs to manifest. In that case it does so spontaneously.
As far as deliberately-enlisted creatures go, I have an Ouranian, a Blue Ray servitor and a Chan Chu, and that about does it. The Chan Chu has a kind of independant existence worldwide, so i don't think that counts but the servitors seem to take it out of me.
I guess I wanted to ask, "Why so many servitors?"
To which you might very well respond, "Why so few servitors?" but I figured I might as well ask anyway.

Unfortunately, I doubt I could give anyone a sense of humor by sneezing on them. Quite the opposite, I'm affraid.

Also what about a matchmaker servitor that lives off the love of two people in love.

Why so many servitors? Because they're fun, and it's... a shiny thing, as far as I can gather. I'm amazed how few of them are used constructively, but then, it's quite a lot easier to build a whimsical spirit than one with an actual quest. People tend to use their Gods and such for real, pertinent issues, while they use their consciously constructed spirits for convenience and entertainment. TEND, mind you, I know quite a few people, here notably, try to do real things.
PS: Can we please not build love-eating servitors? We have little enough of that spectrum in the world already; let's not use it as gasoline. kthx.

I've been wanting to create a viral servitor that quells people's susceptibility to fear-based manipulation.
Alas, I am too unexperienced and the concept sits on my bookshelf, waiting.

Well I can see your point on making sure that servitors have a purpose , but at the same time if you oppose the consensus paradigm then the best way to do so is to imprint your own little tidbits onto reality. Servitors are a way to do this. Personally I'm of the opinion that all creation is good whether it has a purpose or not. I often randomly create things just for the sake of creating them.

To answer honestly, in my case, laziness. See, for the past couple of years I'll create a servitor for something through various processes I've stumbled across and come up with, supercharge them and use them for their initial "job" (which is like their test run. If they fail, no more servitor. If they succeed, they get more jobs and the chance to evolve. If they stick around long enough, I'll "sell" them to deities or eventually destroy them or set them free, so to speak. One of my favorites still works with me, from time to time.
In my downtime, I'll focus on other areas of life, or used to anyway, and just tell whatever servitor what I want done, and if it takes awhile supercharge it or torture it, depending on the problem. That way, I used to cut down on a lot of ritual, and still get the shit done that I wanted done.

Then what about one that eats hate, or stupidity, or both?
Ooooh, even better, you program it so that when it reaches a pre-determined mount of hate-stupidity, he reproduces through mithosys (or whatever it's written...),thus generating 2 weaker clones of himself with his sacred "death".
His aims? to eat, and reproduce.
Think of it like those little birds who feed on the remains of food on crocodiles's teeths: symbiosis lol.

Y'know, when I wrote that, I didn't realize I sounded like a hippy. *ponders*
Vertigo... I shall immediately begin trying to figure out how the state of Stupidity can be used directlyas fuel. That's an awesome idea. It'll be a weird conversion.... Kinda like trying to power something on the color blue... but it seems like there are a couple of ways. Maybe not Stupidity exactly, but the will to perform Stupid actions? They run on will anyway, that oughtta be viable.
Any ideas on how to create the filter for it, anyone? How would you make sure that the thing didn't stop good, if poorly considered, ideas?
{wonders something about akashic records, goes to do research}

let's begin with the definition of "stupid", here's mine:
"someone/something that transforms something usefull in something unusefull, bestowing damage to others, him/itself, the object of his action and the BIOSPHERE in the process"
I'm sure we can work on it.
