No, seriously, true happiness I found this evening.

I found it in watching my son chase fireflies while talking about nothing with my husband and tossing the ball for my dog. The sunset. The stars came out. My backyard was transformed into paradise.

I, I can say, am happy. Not just content.

Lovely Temple you have there in your backyard,Doh.

All I miss is the stars due to light pollution from the central belt,& the dog but the kids keep me occupied.

Since no 1 son watched Le Parkour & then saw the Hulk perform some nice vaults over rooftops, life has never been the same.

Sounds like a nice move you made, worth all the effort.

Namaste

My point is there is something in everything. There is beauty in everything, even the icky stuff. Just live, peeps, occassionally. Just "be".

Even with all of my stress (and I have a lot), I've found the ability to see the small. Enjoy the small. Be the small. And it's wonderful. Not that I don't still get pissy from time to time. ;)

Who would have thunk nothingness is so great?

Hell, I'd be happy with a cookie...
I heard the dark side has got them!
But how can you tell?
There are no lights...
"But it tastes like a cookie!"
That, is what you say
What the hell is a cookie anyway?
Awesomeness in circular form!
With gold-in-laid nuggets of chocolate
Even low-fat, they taste great!
Even bought um on a date...

Anyway, that is all I have to say about cookies.

I think it's nice to stop by and acknowledge the things that make you happy. Those things will probably seem a lot more significant or bigger looking back.

I assumed this was a religious debate and stayed away from this thread until I decided to have a go at someone.

It was a nice surprise to say the least, at least, it made me smile.

Thank you.

I still need to have a go at someone, I'll have to wander into CeM.

Hey, even the mundane can be spiritual.

Now, when you are having your "go" just remember there is even beauty in those that disagree with you. Without them, this planet would be boring as hell. :D

93,

"Many look to the heavens for consolation. V. gazes up to the sky and knows himself to be part of the brotherhood of stars. He cleans his diamond-heart in the furnace of meditation, and the Child-Voice of Eternity bellows from within. The thread of divinity does not weave the boundary of unreachable heights â?? it weaves itself through our innermost places. All is a beautiful, though unruly, tapestry!" - The Writings of V., The Fourth Outburst: The God-puzzle

SUMMATION OF RELIGION =

" please be like JESUS while I STEAL YOUR MONEY. "

"YAAY GOD, he has NO NAME BUT WHATEVER LAST BOOKS WE STOLE, read from, or BURNED And REPLACED NAMES with just "GOD" to STALL people with confusions as WE STEAL MONEY....... "

"YAAAY, GOD says WHATEVER the &@&% HELPS BUILD UP and STEAL MONEY, like wildlife dancing with sticks......yaaay"

THAT is what RELIGION IS ABOUT....

I have to MENTION, after READING THE BIBLE, it SEEMS TO MOST PEOPLE I KNOW THAT the STORIES were TAKEN FROM HINDUISM. That is something agrreed upon by ANYONE SINCE HIGHSCHOOL who had a conversation with me about BIBLE.....

Seems like you need to lay off the shift key.

It seems like you also have selective perception (or lopsided reading-list) or you know a strange group of people... The tales are just as Greek, Egyptian, Sumerian, Babylonian, etc. as they are Hindu.

I know.

Added from WHATEVER pagan history/religion/faith exists in whatever areas wheree finances need to BE STOLEN NEXT.

Until people are confused into truly believing in the existence ANY common origins besides merely EXCUSES for STEALING of finances.

Depends on the PAGAN faith that exists in ANY NEXT AREA to have finances stolen from. Merely to create confusions by the use of spams/rumors.

it is just that AFRICAN, NORSE, ROMAN and GREEK parts have been INCORPORATED THE MOST. Due to REGIONS THAT WERE EASIER to steal finances from/invade. Why those PARTS have BECOE LESS and LESS VISIBLE as time passed.

Are you bitter about having paid for some kind of church? Honestly, lay off the shift key its annoying and useless.

Who cares if they were stolen? Survival of the strongest, my friend.

I prefer the term*borrowed* or at worst there was some*petty pilfering* Sami, though the Greeks maintain they educated Romancish & Egyptian, which could indicate they borrowed from Hindu.

The Norse Yggdrasil I have only just linked with Hindu, the entrance by fire,as fire, being similar.

I mean the *old* Norse Pantheon, free from *updates*,the edda's being *same but different* or linked heavily to *common sense*(oops, another Doh thread).

I enjoyed doing 3 sets of clothes washing(& drying inbetween showers),mowing the lawn(pre showers),doing dishes, feeding myself & wee G,together with continuing his potty training now he is in big boy pants.

So Sami,

Now the Christians have stolen from around the world again, this time from the mainly muslim Iraq, where do you think next?

Robert Mugabe seems to have been demonised, him do you reckon?

Unless the plan for profits from unending foreign war is shelved to accomodate a short sharp civil war?

Here you are voters-the old "Kill or be killed" option, the more things change the more they stay the same & there is nothing new under the sun.

Namaste

sami, honestly, this ISN'T a debate about religion. Don't turn it to one. Your audacious attitude towards all things religious or spiritual or anything else where you can turn it to bash something else is old, repetative, boring and, blankly useless in this thread. So please take your "I hate religion" toys and go home. I don't want what started out as a good topic more about spirituality than religion turning into one of the many other threads you have joined. :)

All you do is turn what could be a good discussion into a ceaseless insufferable argument that inevitably goes no where and ends up getting locked as off topic or a flame war.

This goes to everyone else, too. Sorry, but I'm sick of so many topics here turning into this type of bullshit and I'm looking for a reprieve. Take the religion bashing to one of the numerous topics here that already does it.

That aside, even after an absolutely horrendous Monday day, I came home and turned my frustration to the loads and loads of work that needs to be done in my backyard. Damn, being this stiff and muscle sore hasn't felt this good in a long, long time. It makes me smile every time I wince because I'm moving my arm when I look out and see some of the junk cleared and the rising pile of bamboo that will eventually be a fence around my eventual Japanese garden. :D

I quit smoking just over three years ago.... but once in a while I will go out under the stars at night and have just one ciggarette (roll your own)... and Venus always seems to be there so bright.... I draw the smoke into my lungs and it warms me up and I feel really peaceful and content... It is a really simple pleasure....

Great thread Doh!!!!

I love dancing in the rain. <3

I took a nice little walk outside about a half hour ago. I love the land around my parent's house. When I was little my feet and hands were always dirty at the end of the day from being outside and exploring everything. ^^ Being in nature just makes me feel peaceful and happy...

Amongst the serious shit in my life that makes me want to grab a shotgun and go nutty, here's a breath.

Went into work with a shit attitude because of the day before (no lengthy explaination, though it's a story in and of itself). Coworker hands me a "stress reliever kit" (Heath candy bars and a shit load of ibuprophen) followed up by my best friends saying "Hey, let's go get some chow tonight"

Life is beautiful.

Don't sweat that small shit, appreciate it. :D

I like barbeques, summer is warm.
