A movie about astrology, religion, politics and economy.
The first part deals with the astrological symbolism hidden inside
all major religions:

Really good movie. Thanks for the suggestion.
The first part taught me quite a few things about Jesus that blew my mind. I highly recommend any "occultists" watch AT LEAST the first section.

I recommend this movie to everyone. First time I saw it I sat in awe at all the things it pieced together for me that I ever wondered about religion. Questions I had asked as a child in church and was told I would grow up to be a sinner and burn in enternal hell. lol.
Frankly, Zeitgeist movie allowed me to finally feel 100% secure about not following my mother into christianity. The women in my family have always been pagan whether practicing or not.
Also, thread bump. lol

I second that. If they would actually get off their lazy self righteous asses and go to the Zeitgeist movie source page and READ the books listed, NOT just wanting exact pages, they would have their proof.

Poor research is never a particularly compelling way to make documentaries.
But hey, they make documentaries on the Bermuda triangle and whether Elvis is still alive, just nobody much cares about the conclusion.
As a sidenote, if 'skeptics'- or in this case, christian apologists, offer money for countervailing evidence for their disbelief in a certain topic you know you ain't never gonna see a red cent.
The healthiest way to understand controversy is to see both sides of the argument and critically assess what's presented to you.
The silliest thing to do is get upset that it's being questioned because it either: Supports your position or debunks the cherished views of your enemies.
So if you REALLY care, take the 50 point challenge and win the $250.00. If you don't care whether Jesus was an amalgamation of Harry Potter and Horus, write your own canonical literature on the orthodoxy of the great Emperor Penguin.

Touche, yet its not the money thats the interest. Sure, You'd come away with 250. But you'd have one documented proof that would inevitably either be questioned a thousand times and then thrown out because its simply blasphemous or it would stay hidden under hundreds and hundreds of fanatics laundry never to see the light of day.
Its not worth the legal council it would take to make a scratch in their unwavering blind belief that "only one way is correct and no one else can rise above it".
Isn't that why this conversation is going on here, in a forum, instead of in a church in front of the entire mass?

Even if you found a talking skull that said it was Jesus, if you have 'faith' it wouldn't matter one jot.
The thing is, religion, Christianity especially, is slowly, inexorably dying, just like Monarchies and communism and French cinema, anachronisms can't last forever.
My feeling is that most vociferous and unintelligent defenders of the bible happen to be the product of 'revivalist' or 'born again' movements that place no emphasis on critical analysis, history or in-depth interpretation but everything on literalism and charismatic shows of 'faith.'
Make the message as simple and emotively appealing as possible, throw out the 2,000 or so years of complex theological workings and just accept everything as your pastor tells it.
Same goes for the Occult. Many people come from strict American Christian backgrounds, at least it seems so on the forums.
Their distaste for the strict and unyielding ways of their parents and peers contrasts with their willingness to accept anything that 'hits' back at this mindset, while in fact just substituting one set of folly for another.
Just my opinion.

Very good movie. I remember when it first came out I believe it was last year?
My friend recommended it to he. He himself is an indy film maker, and believe he knew one of the guys involved in the project. I'd have to ask him can't remember what he told me.
Here in NY some of us were giving out the movie in Union Square. I believe there is a second part coming out. The part about the banks is the best.
