Circles for demon summoning

Post by Aftiel_TK »

What kind of circles have you used for the purpose of summoning demons? Has anybody used Solomon's circle from The Goetia?

Goetia is one of my main focuses of magic. There are endless kinds of circles that someone can use for a goetic circle. The circle itself is representative of the aura of the magician. I've come across a few people online who dont even bother setting up any sort of a circle when doing goetic work. The two most common versions of the circle that you will find are these:

Make sure you follow all the steps and have all your tools, such as the skin belt and the virgin calf parchment ;) very important stuff [lol]

Here is a slight variation I made of the standard circle.

Beginning at the top: Satan, Azazel, Set, Thoth, Shiva, Sabazios, Naamah, Baphomet, Leviathan, Bast, Inanna, and Asmodeus.

Hmm, seeing those names on your circle, I have to ask the question if you've read the book Luciferian Goetia? It's by Michael Ford so you already have to take it with a grain of salt, but it might be more helpful to you philosophically than the traditional Goetia.

ps - a HUGE grain of salt

Umm. That's a pretty interesting list. Usually the folks who mention Naamah esoterically are Gnostics with a particular bent, folks circling around the Temple of the Black Light somehow, or someone who is cribbing from a Ford book (oh noes!) Did you pick this list out yourself, and if so, why did you pick these deities?

To be honest, I was only experimenting with using runes instead of Hebrew characters, and selected a number of deities from off the top of my head, and from the Satanic Bible. This isn't a circle I would use as it is; it was merely a trial in using the runes.

@Frater_NT: I've heard of the book, but never read it. I'll check it out.

Ah, all right. Well, I second what he said about the Luciferian Goetia - don't bother, unless you need something to line your ferret cage.

Why those if you don't mind me asking?

The OP already said he was testing out drawing a circle and used those names from the Satanic Bible and names off the top of his head...

It was my mistake, I jumped to quick to ask a question before I read the answer in her post.

I tried deleting the post but wasn't allowed.

For those who have a Gnostic approach to their beliefs, TTOTBL has a lot of information of value in their old PDF that they used to have circulating when they were more active.

We have a limit on editing time.

If you need a post deleted, give me a buzz and I'll get it if it's appropriate to do so.
