qabalah,qliphot and sitra Ahra

Post by chris218 »

So i am reading Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic by Thomas Karlsson.
And am actually finding this book quiet interesting and i like the way Thomas explains the whole subject .
so i don't know if i have understood everything correctly so in this text i will write my understanding of qabalah, the qliphot and Thomas karlsson`s book.
Pleas correct me and come with both critics and eventually constructive input on the subject [yay]

when Adam and eve ate the forbidden fruit from the Edens garden Humans lost their touch with god and divinity which resulted in the destruction of daath and creation of malkuth where they where banned to struggle.
and because of this the qabalists wants trough Qabalah to obtain this divinity again trough prayers and ceremony etc ... so that they after this life can end up in paradise or even back to garden where they shall be one with the divine and god again.

But the left hand adepts wishes not to repair the damages but rather nourish and immerse the fall of man and let something new flourish trough exploring the tree of knowledge and instead of being one with the god they shall become one them self by harvesting the fruits of knowledge.
And if you think about it the moment Adam and eve ate the fruit was the moment that the serpent gave humans free will and true knowledge ! and that gives me more questions because if you rely wanna turn thing upside down i kind of wonder if this almighty god that denies us from being on a divine and spiritual plain really is so great. i can think of allot of things from different religious texts from different myths and religions where giving the "forbidden fruit" or "knowledge" if you like where considered a sin ....

While you have the divine creation and the tree of life which is associated with the masculine aspect ( Sitra de-kedusha/the holy side) you also have a polar opposite which is simply called sitra ahra(the other side) and is associated with feminine aspect and even with the demon lilit which is considered as the female personifications of sitra Ahra..
and as the holy side represent the toran the dark side represent lawlessness and sin!

what is also quiet different with the tree of knowledge is that the spheres work as a anti-pole to the tree of life :

Tree of life Tree of knowledge
1.Malkuth 1.Thaumiel (the twin god)
2.Yesod 2.Ghagiel (the prevent-er)
3.Hod 3.Satriel (The hidden)
4.Netzach 4.Ghaàg-sheblah (The murderer)
5.Tiphareth 5.Golachab (the flaming)
6.Geburah 6.Thagirion (the conqueror)
7.Chesed 7.a`arab zaraq (the embezzled raven)
8.Binah 8.Samael (gods venom)
9.Chokmah 9.Gamaliel (the obscene)
10.Keter 10.Lilith (Queen of the night)

Demon lords
1.Nahema
2.Lilit
3.Adrammelek
4.baal
5.Belphegor
6.Asmodues
7.Ashtaroth
8.Lucifuge
9.Beelzebub
10.Satan AND Molok

i guess il stop her and il probably post some more on this when i get some more time...

I think the whole "Eve" part was written to merly replace Lilith and obscure the truth. I suppose we can omly know for sure with self-exploration of course.

To me that seems like a pretty correct breakdown / parallels my interpretation of the beginning concepts of his book. Do you think the end goal of the Left Hand Path would be self-deification, that attainment of the Garden within, a Garden we could shape and control ourselves? Or would it be simply splitting oneself from the cycles of reincarnation with the Yahweh astral entity, so that we can live immortality as astral entities of our own, separate and non-dependent from material existence? Or would all of these be considered fantastical elements, myself getting to lost in potential metaphors? I personally like to believe in the metaphysical application of magick, the possible attainment of a higher state of consciousness, ascending yourself into your own contactable Egoform possibly?

I'm too busy to write a long reply, but There is a lot of factual wrongs in his books.
Use them as a stepping stone and make sure you research everything independently.
