I was looking for that too, understanding the mythos would be important.
Which leads me to the idea that enacting the beliefs of a gods days would be the best way to break the ice and summon simultaneously.
Like, looking up and making yourself believe that the moon is literally the eye of horus, and thinking about that, believing it like the old days.

Maybe he thinks that you'd strike up an acquaintance with him and then blow him off. That he'd put his valuable time and effort into the beginnings of a working relationship... and have you piss on them. I've no idea why he'd think that, though.

I know that this is an old thread....but you arent going to get in contact with him by doing a rush job. Youre going to have to sit down clear your mind and concentrate. I dont think that going to a witch or someone outside of yourself is going to help you. It's going to have to be YOU that gets his attention. I would also recommend that you learn as much as possible about him and figure out why he should help you. What will you do in exchange for him? These beings dont give you something for nothing and throwing around money like that probably wont mean a thing to him.

I have to disagree with Nevsky0800 when he says "Keep in mind not to offer something that you aren't willing to pay" and similar statements. This is a modern, Faustian error. The medieval and renaissance magicians would never have sold themselves so cheaply! The demons of the Goetia are governed by angelic counterparts. They are evoked under the power of these positive forces and contained in the triangle by Divine names. Don't offer them anything and do not accomplish tasks for them or let them hang around. At all times, the will of the operator is sovereign.
