Your Life Path Number
Original post: tasha
i dont really understand numerology and i have only just come across it, i found out my life path number on the internet and i was wondering if anyone could explain it further?
Your Life Path Number is 22
Your purpose in life is to use your power for good
Of all the life paths, yours has the most innate power.
Your power lies in your vision, and you must recruit others to help you in this vision.
You are able to be a great idealist, but you still have the practicality to get things done.
In love, you tend to be a big romantic - but you also tend to keep your distance.
You have a lot of potential, and it's sometimes hard to live up to.
Sometimes you just feel like slipping into obscurity and doing nothing.
You tend to be prone to dramatic emotions, until you step back and look at things honestly.
Well i came out a 7 which is not completely accurate in the description. For instance, i am a very social animal and i do not seek solitude all that much as my number description says.
Personally i think that it is a bit silly to determine such things based solely on the date someone is born. Afraid i am not much for predetermination or fate. We make our own selves and our own paths.
see, if you went by a more quabbalistic interpretation of 7, it would make more sense. Netzack is all kinds of social, sometimes even to the point of excess.

Oh, and I forgot, I am an 8 and it makes a whole lot of sense. On the whole, I would say even more than most natal charts, but then again I usually only have those interpreted online; any time I've had a real person look into that, it was way more meaningful.

My number seems to fit, but one of my best friends has the same number, and he is totally different from me, based on my opinion. Cool as it is to play with, I'd say that it's either just dumb luck, or too vague to relate to any group of people in particular, yet just specific enough to keep its readers from second-guessing the legitimacy of it.

You'd be surprised at the amount of information one can acquire in knowing just these few things:
- Date of Birth
- Full Birth Name
- Nick Names (Screen Names Inclusive)
- Time of Birth
- Place of Birth

The number 3 seems to fit. Does it happen to like hanging out with 9s? :goes to check that out:

By my actual birthdate, I am an 8, which gave a description that is in the ballpark, but way off in the nosebleed section. When I put in my due date, I got a 1, which was at least in the outfield, but still not close.
I've stumbled on this a year back, but didn't think much of it.
Now, it seems to me to be fairly accurate as I look more closely.
From what system is this Life Path number associated with?
Numerology alone?
"The Life Path is the sum of the birth date. This number represents who you are at birth and the native traits that you will carry with you through life. The most important number that will be discussed here is your Life Path number. The Life Path describes the nature of this journey through life.
The Life Path number is established from the date of birth. First, convert the month to a single number . Then convert the day of birth to a single digit . Next, add the total digits of year and reduce this sum to a single digit . The individual digits representing the month, day, and year, be they single digits, are then added together, as necessary to reduce the sum once again to a single digit 1 through 9.
Example: If a person was born on October 23, 1972 (10-23-1972), add the month 10 (which is reduced to 1) to the day 23 (which is reduced to 5) plus the the year 1972 (which reduces to 19, then to 10 and finally to 1). Thus, the total of the month, day, and year is 1+5+1. This date is a 7 Life Path. The "master numbers, " 11, 22, and 33, have been incorporated within the corresponding single digit number readings."
Here's an easier way for those of you who don't want to do the math:

The explanations it gives are very lacking, though, and most sites explain them in depth, this one being a good resource once you find yours...

Some Famous Individuals and their Life Path Numbers...
Anton LaVey - 1 (leader)
William S. Borroughs - 11 (highly creative)
David Bowie - 3 (unique self)
Genesis P. Orridge - 3 (unique self)
Trent Reznor - 7 (the loner)
Marilyn Manson - 4 (the visionary)
Charles Manson - 22 (spiritual family, negetive: manipulation)
Madonna - 11 (highly creative)
It seems 11 and 22 are the rarest outcomes.
11 being a 'supercharged' 2, and 22 being a supercharged 4.
Looking on the meaning of these numbers when applied to these people is sometimes spookily accurate in what we know of them.
Do you think it's interesting, obsolete, complete hogwash?
Mine is Life Path 1, what are you?
This is obsolete, complete hogwash. Way to label yourself according to an arbitrary convention of ridiculousness.

Numbers are important and really the only concrete language of the workings of the universe. Me I'm a 9 my entire life is ruled by the number 9. My name adds to 9 my birthday adds to 9 even my social security number comes out to 9.
I never did agree with that assessment of myself though. I'm not a naturally giving or philanthropic person. the only contributions I've ever made to the world at large have been at the expense of others and usually through violent means. To me 9 was always the most complete number. 3 is a number of completion and three 3's is a perfectly complete number, so much so that it constantly reasserts itself in its multiples. then again I think very highly of myself

It says I'm a 4
Your purpose in life is to build your vision.
You are practical and responsible. You work hard, knowing that there are no shortcuts in life.
You work for a better life for yourself and those you love, but you are not an idealist.
Trustworthy and honest, you also demonstrate great courage. People can count on you.
In love, you are a loyal and committed partner. You are the ideal spouse.
You don't give up easily, and sometimes you can be too stubborn and unwilling to change.
You also can be too conservative at times. You sometime miss out on good opportunities.
Also remember that not everyone can work as hard as you, as disappointing as that is!
Somethings are true some not it's silly generalization
