Since Ellis is now considered a chick, I wish these people would create an image of her that is becoming. The evil looking skull with the wings on his head is turning me off, or maybe I am just over the pseudo satanic, Marilyn Manson shock value crap.
If you're over that, then Ellis possibly isn't going to hold much interest for you. :p
More seriously, the network itself can serve as a potentially equally useful power source to any other you've likely got. Just make sure you run whatever you get from it through a filter first, in order to transmute/clean up all the 14 year old, "I am TEH EEEEEEEVIL!!1!" wannabe Gothic line noise.
Ellis was originally a fantastic idea, and one that I really could have got behind. Unfortunately, however, people had to make it destructively transformative, when just being transformative alone would have been more useful, in my own mind. Still, as long as the crap is filtered out, the net has potential.
I don't have much interest in the egregore, personally, because although I haven't tried to contact her myself, every account I've read makes her sound like one of Rob Zombie's wet dreams. But meh; if I can't be pragmatic, I ain't much of a Chaote. It's not exactly easy to avoid pseudo-Gothic, theatrical drivel with magic in general, anyway; it sort of goes with the territory.

Thing is everyone will forever impose their own interpretation on the perception of things. As far as Ellis is concerned, there are many faces to it, darker and lighter sides if you wish to think this way. But from what I pick up she dosent work in the good/evil or any dualistic paradigm you may want to believe. She's a very interesting entity wich emcompasses many many different view, ideas, energies, as it was mentionned she's great for self-exploration and discovery, to put down the walls imposed by the image and take an different look at things. I wouldnt go as far as saying the whole practice amount to making people beleive in the occult or spirituality but more as an attempt to break the closed shell of our interpretations of reality.
On other notes, I could scan a drawing I made you may find more attractive, but don't think that would help you in any way. We tend to rely too much on imposing our own imagery rather than to let it come to us. Explore it, feel it and make your own mind about it, find your own image. Ask yourself do you want others to tell you how to see things or do you want to look at them by yourself?
If your answer is the first, to have others tell you what you should see, then I dont think she is for you, then again maybe you would need a little bit of her insight.
Last thing: I do not recommend asking for a job, or asking too much specific favors, as from my experience, you often get from her different things than that you ask, not that they arent good things, or things that you didnt want, it may just be very different than you expected, all for the purpose of dicovery, exploration and breaking down barriers head first.
From my personnal experience, I did try the solicitate her help into things I wanted, but ended up getting very different experiences, but on the other side, made me discover more of what I really needed or wanted, that I may not even have known before.
My only tip if you're going for the Ellis experience may just be, Go with the flow, be open.

Now this sounds really interesting to me. An egregore of such personality and power, connected almost to any point in the world. I'll try tapping into the web, seeing what happens. Thanks for the idea and all the advice on her.

What I believe is implied when someone says "get to know her" is that she is an unexpectedly powerful entity who deserves to be understood before she is petitioned for power. You wouldn't expect Aphrodite to help you win a lover if you don't even know her mythology or symbology.
So, yes, meditation on the nature of Ellis would be a great place to start. To me, she's the lovely, capricious and terrifying power of punk spirit. In/evokation is also a fabulous idea, as well as just generally reading about accounts that other magicians have had with her power. The idea is to familiarize yourself with what she represents. The goal in the creation of the linking sigil was to create a matrix of magical potency that could be tapped into by anyone with the will and the know how. That goal has been achieved, and gradually that power has shifted increasingly toward assaulting consensual reality. As a result, spells that involve the sigil often have startling effects, chaotic aftermath, and occasionally people have sustained minor injuries.
It may not be something easy to simply explain, but there is something to the idea of "feeling for" what Ellis is. As you become more familiar, parts of her nature will become apparent that you did not notice or expect. For example, maybe now you will experience her as your lovely buxom redhead, but maybe in the future she will sneak up on you as a spider, or metaphorically kick you with her combat boots, or whisper kindly in your dreams.
I hope that makes sense.

AFAIK, around here dead topics are pretty much the only kind. So it's probably fine.

Lol,Petrus.Post new ones then please

.More new activity is sorely needed, that is true.
It's fine to raise dead topics,by the way,as long as you have something to add/contribute.There have been some excellent discussions on the forum in days gone by.
I liked your post, but this is not my area of practice,so I feel a little dubious about joining in. :/
I 've been trying to get topics going, but I could use some input from other members and a bit of help,in areas I 've no/little knowledge of. :|

Well, thanks. =]
I was rather disappointed when browsing at the lack of activity. The old site seemed very active, and I was surprised that this one existed, though it's apparently been around for some time. Maybe I can help revive it a bit. I wish some of the oldies would come out of the woodwork and input as there are a lot of fairly insightful chaos magicians out there.
Another note on glitterbombing (I prefer the term glamourbomb, actually), it can have huge cumulative effects. Hauntings have been created, or just brief moments where a bored teenager sees an arcane symbol and thinks "wtf?".
In my hometown, which I am beginning to feel homesick for, I built tiny faerie houses or stone altars in one particular park on a regular basis because it already had the reputation for magical happenings and it's notoriety grew until a chill would travel down your spine if you walked into the quarry on a full moon. Not only can you potentially make people curious about magic, but if you have enough intent, you can make them believe in it, sometimes even if they don't want to.
(Also, I was interrupted in writing this and during that distraction a crow calmly walked into my apartment and out of it again. XD)

We're getting new members joining, but they would stop posting after realising that there was nobody answering. The forum got hit by Spammers too, hard, very hard.
We are clearing the spam as we find it and I am really doing my best to increase activity and interaction.I 've also moved a few topics, into folders where they might be more relevant and get some views/responses...
Please,by all means, resurrect away and post and help me out.I 'd appreciate it a lot.
