I always watch that category in case one of MacGregor Mathers' "Secret Chiefs" posts in it, and reveals how they could live for hundreds of years... [clown]
[rofl]
It is under utilised,it was added at member request and it could be subbed,at least until we see if there is any remaining interest.
Also,I am going to send out reminders to inactive members and see if we can get some to return.

It's obvious there is a big interest in Castaneda/MesoAmerican Shamanic practice hereabouts,so that should be taken into account also and we could do a lot with the folder,in a positive fashion. It will take a bit of consideration,I think.
I would post there
Every DAY!!

Yeah, this is what I meant by some of what I said. I wish I knew more about web design, I could drum up something wicked, indeed.
I would enjoy sometimes finding people on the chatrooms, but that isn't necessarily a design change..

I tried to join the chatroom yesterday, but it wouldn't let me connect. Got it working just now and I'm in the channel, but it's completely empty. No admins, server messages, and nobody but myself.
But I'll idle in there anyway for the day if anyone wants to drop by. So yeah, come join the party [gz] (irc.blitzed.org #occultforums)
Also, perhaps we could create a contact thread for people to post their MSN/AIM/etc. addresses so we can add and talk to like minded people. Another forum I post on has most of it's regulars keep in touch via MSN, and it's a great way to get to know people and build community, and I don't know about you guys, but I keep my my occult interests on the down low so I don't have many people to talk to about stuff or bounce idea's off.

I'll stop by the chat room from time to time, mostly in the weekends because thats the time I'm most likely to find people on when Im on and not at work, plus I'm happy to talk to people on Facebook too. I dont use MSN, but I do have gmail chat, so if you want to either chat via Facebook or gmail, just let me know your Facebook name or gmail address and I'll add you to my contacts.

What drew me in here (as opposed to sending me screaming back to google) was definitely the quality of conversation. Nice posters, not douchebags, good topics, good knowledge and peoples experiences written as responses to daft topics (example: Teach Me To Summon Lucifer ending with Case's anecdote about a mad ritual he has promised to share once he finds it). Tollolollols don't seem to get a look in, which is quite refreshing for an occult forum, isn't it.

Hmm..I 'm trying to think of words to explain the richness and fluidity of chatting with me on IRC,lollolololol...... [rofl]
I can't type for toffee in realtime chat.
I have issues with hand to eye coordination.Head smack a while back left me with a little minor damage,so I tend not to seek out chatrooms, preferring the ability to edit and take my time over writing things down that the foruming format gives me.
Yeh,ask Case for details,lol. [tongue]
Friends don' t seem to mind though,so I do chat on FB and they are patient with me,which helps. But I get lost in group convos as I can't keep up.

Well I'm the only one in there (Case dropped by earlier though), so I don't think group convo's are gonna be an issue anytime soon :p
About to crash out anyway, had a massive day and dying for some sleep, but I'll leave irc logged in and jump back on tomorrow when I get online.

I saw this old thread and wanted to give my first impression of this place... you are very friendly to new persons, you have lots of different topics here that are mostly easy to find, and I'm not seeing lots of drama here. I cant see any of those ongoing arguments that started years ago and then spread to every topic the involved ones are in. Or maybe I just didnt look close enough yet
As for things like that other new person leaving in a huff because of something that to me looked like 'others disagreeing on her/him trying to apply definitions to everybody else'... that nobody else agreed was a reason for me to stay.
