The Link Between Mental Illness and the Occult

That's an interesting idea. My friend will surely be noted that they are fully insane, they got no worries other than this rapidly evolving technological society is pushing people into numbers, rather than more human endeavors.

As the children growing into a larger child, at one point the world was watching the Flintstones and laughing in tune with the laugh track.

Maybe one day society as a whole can drop the television set, stop the wars, and literally pick through the trash looking at the billions of dollars of purposeful waste.

I blame the epoch where man picked up coins and decided that trading was worthy of effort.

On another note, the evolution of man and the intelligent design argument is surely a crux on society awaiting revelation. As you may see I am totally messed up and I blame no one, nobody, no god, no people, no salvation, no hell, and a huge departure from all matters spiritual since the age of technology.

Intelligent design is certainly an area of contention. Too bad self interest of a better life, has us all watching the big bang theory perpetually perplexed.

If there is a demonstrable rise in mental illness, I'd imagine it has much more to do with the unnatural lifestyle we live, the damage we've done to the environment we live in and the artificial additives we add to the food we live off, than it does to an increase in access to information about occult practices.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised at some statistical correlation between occult/spiritual practice and what would qualify according to modern psychiatry as mental illness of one kind or another, some of it being a direct correlation, although I'm not sure of the degree of causal connection, and some of it being the vast gap between the worldview projected by modern science and the worldview projected by various mystical philosophies.

And plus having the stress + troubles that a greed motivated society brings on people.

I also have a feeling we may be on a similar trend to the one that started World War 1. If we went to war again, it would be for nearly the exact same motivations(Competition between rival powers for land and resources) but different technology. Recessions and high levels of things like depression/mental illness have often had a trend of World Wars happening for some odd reason.

Some people of Generation Z/Late Generation Y(Around or below my age) are becoming more nationalistic(not necessarily in a racist way) in the growing rivalry between the powers and have expressed willingness/enthusiasm to kill the rival nations' people/armed forces in a war unless its just from what I've heard. Hence they are making people study "war poetry" in schools in response to this rumoured trend.

Unfortunately, the resolution, is so poor it does nothing with me now. I got to see it in a cubicle at a government funded movie station.

There is strip of costal lake front, and pictures from the 19th century, of people packing the beaches. Busier than a modern subway. Now we are all a part of the new entertainment system.

Couldn't believe it, but the Nazi Party were the ones that invented the CCTV. That's the way most big inventions are made, during war.

The film came about in more peaceful and serendipitous ways I guess.

The information age is something entirely different. I'm at a loss attempting understanding the death of comedy in textual mediums, and the resurgence of the comedy, such as the Big Bang theory, following an athiest uprising.

The return of polytheism at fundamental levels is so close, yet, even sage sticks get burned in replacement of ancient Indian mud bath smudge ceremonies.

Money money money is everything people want, and so few of us get any opportunity without life leaving us anymore.

The age of the freak show is the new show, or the new intelligent war, and i'm fairly certain that's nearing an end itself. Political correctness is something that's been beaten out of everyone as of late.

Anyways, without freaking myself out too much, um, yeah, mental illness is on the rise, primarily in urban centers, and they do claim generation Z wants success more than any other generation prior. Interesting where things may go if they got their heads permanently rammed into a mobile phone.
