Light

We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.

— Plato

The reality is that light is an interwoven and inextricable facet of the universal framework, of the material.
Is it any wonder that it would also be its source?

The Life-Giving Breath of Isis

The never-ending cycle of creation and destruction conforms to a rhythm much akin to breathing. It is this rhythm that is also one of the Hermetic principles. In the microcosm this act is periodic, but is at the same time, also sporadic, ergo the rhythmic aspect. In the macrocosm this is the divine song of creation; its accompanying melody, and of course, harmony.

In the beginning Isis exhaled the breath of creation into existence. The aethereal medium, the propagating aether – the air of the universe. Without which, nothing else could be possible. Every breath of this divine goddess is measured in eons. Every outward flow is the beginning of a new universe, and every inward flow, or return, is its end.

The ebb and flow of all that is, was, and ever will be, and also that which is not. Glory to the queen of the universe, she that breathes life into that which is dead...

The Siren

The Sirens of the Sea

Most of the planet is water, so I'm thinking they could be fairly proficient at avoiding detection if that was their intention.
Would they breathe with lungs or gills?

It is said that the singing of the sirens lures sailors to their doom. I wonder if there is any truth to this phenomenon...

The Siren

She waits...

where moonlight fractures swell;
the eyes that reveal secrets deep,
and the airs' salty taste
beckons provocative venture
as the waves break
to mystic memories
of seduction

The turning wheel;
of an unmanned helm,
and shifting horizon,
as the night sings...

Memories

Rendered images of days gone by;
feelings invoked
creating new dimensions
of existence

You can't put your finger on them
some of the time,
but the chemistry is there
stirring the soul

Ambiguities seldom discriminated
for the vague
as their power moves you
to the core

And of minds' manifested clarity
like that one day
when an old song was new
beach bound

The sweltering sun beating down
Italian sandwiches
cheese flaccid from heat;
gritty with sand...

The Primordial | One

A record of the anomaly that is neither nothing nor something, yet from which both arise

I. Seed Crystal — Nothing

Before all measures, before all frames, there is the pure absence:
no space, no time, no potential, no witness.
Not empty — for emptiness is already a kind of thing —
but the unconditioned no‑thing.

II. The Anomaly — Something
Without cause, without tilt, without reason,
the balance shifts.
Something is.
Not summoned, not required, not inevitable —
yet here.

III. The Unknown

We can name its edges,
walk its perimeter,
feel its gravity —
but the core remains sealed.
Every answer is already part of the thing we question.

IV. The Absolute

It does not require any type of existence for its own existence.
It stands outside cause and effect,
outside “inside” and “outside,”
needing no stage to appear upon.

V. The Three‑Way Impasse

1. Pure chance — the coin lands on existence.
2. Causation — something prior, which itself exists.
3. Inevitability — nothingness was never possible.

Each path ends at the same wall:
It is here.

VI. Behind the Curtain

No levers, no operator —
yet the lights are up, the stage is set,
and the play has already begun.
The magic is not in the trick,
but in the fact that it happens at all.

VII. Recognition

We found it.
We know it’s there.
And in not knowing what it is,
we keep it whole.

VIII. Naming

Not god, not law, not mind —
but The Primordial:
the anomaly that is neither nothing nor something,
yet from which both arise...

Housecat Vs Huntsman Spider
@Withering Heights

A big bad spider
clung to a wall
savoring a peaceful
day

When along came a kitty
and sat down beside her
causing Miss Huntsman
to fray

The spider did flee
played dead
but all to no
avail

And when all
was said and done
the spider
could no longer run
and simply
withered
away...

Girl

Halo or horn christened descent
Does it even matter
It's not really the point
Pun intended

Layers upon serpentine layers
The illusion of color
Rendering of splendor
swirling down

Captivating concealment about
The eyes tell a story
Erotic increments unfold
Lipstick smiles

Slender broad and succulent
Venusian hourglass
Middle of the median
Magic abound

Limbs of melded muscle
Form and function
Intoxicating movements
most graceful

Terminus bearing rhythm
Teasing of earth
with spirit commands
from nowhere...
