I saw a link to a Phil Hine article on dream magick today and I am curious as to whether anyone has managed to find a book or some other resource with information on Dream Magick... because I have looked quite a bit to find this topic extensively covered but have yet to find it. I know there is a book titled Dream Magic, but apparently it has very little to do with dreams.

Dream Magic: Night Spells and Rituals for Love, Prosperity and Personal Power by Sirona Knight

I just got the stuff needed to do my first spell from it so I can not tell you how it all works. While it seems a bit fluffy I feel that most books today do. Either way though it is insightful and I'm pretty sure I can use what's in the book in other aspects of my magick.

The Art of Dreaming by Carlos Castaneda

While not dream magic it was this book that originally got me into dream practices and while it may be a hoax I loved it & a lot of what it said worked (at least for me).

Sorry I don't have any books or sites to reccomend on the subject. However it's something I do work with because the realm of dreams is very powerful.

After re-reading that you might wanna define "dream Magic".

not to sound stupid but are y'all talking about when you dream, you do magic?
I mean if so, that's a nice concept but not for me because when I dream, I don't know I'm doing it.

Then you might wanna check out that second book I spoke of above...it certainly wouldn't hurt :D Heck even the first one, but I can't say you'll get results with that one.

Here is the link which inspired me http://philhine.org.uk/writings/rit_dreamintro.html. I'm looking to go beyond the normal lucid material... I'm really just looking for ideas. There are a lot of good LD sites (feel free to list any really creative one), but I don't find much from an actual occult perspective - and fluff has a tendency to scare me away

Aside from that site (which I read a while ago) and the two books I have listed I've not read all that much. Though I almost recall one or two of the sites in the Witchcraft Link Sticky dealing with dreams...though I don't recall if they were dream magick.

Though, I'd assume that dream magic is similar to Astral Magic (at least to a certain extent). You might wanna look into that if you have not already (I know there are a few threads on it in the CM forum).

According to some people Magic has to manifest on the mental plane before it can be carried over to the Astral (or was that reversed?) before finally effecting the Physical plane. If you were to do any magic in dreaming I'd reckon that it would work...though I hold less credibility with dreams then either the physical or the astral because of our primitive brains and "dream filters" which can kinda twist dreams and to a lesser extent astral work.

Good luck though!

Dig it.

A book I have is called "Dream Gates" by Robert Moss. It pretty much is a hand book for the described in that site given by Horus. I'm sure it has refference matterial for other books on the subject, a must read if you're serious about dream magick.
