I was wondering if someone could help me I am new to astrology and I'm not quite sure what it means when both my moon and sun are in Sagitarious. Does it mean that those qualities are doubled?

Hey Jendayi!
Well, briefly, the birth chart consists of the zodiacal positions of each of the ten celestial bodies. The sun, moon and Ascendent tend to be the 'most important' in that they are the primary rulers of our everyday living. The sun represents the fire and soul within us all, it is not necessarily how we act, as alot of people are not totally in touch with their deeper selves. The moon is our emotional body, our habits patterns and instincts. The Asc. is generally our projection of ourself to the outside world. So, having two or more planets in the same sign is not necessarily a 'doubling' per say, but rather that these two areas of the self are on the same team and working with each other (this, however, can be difficult sometimes). If they are in a conjunction (within 8 degrees of the same sign) then this is all the more important.
