I've been trying to find out desperatly ways to astral project. From state of mind, mental health...to diet, excercise etc. Thus i wanted to find out the comparisons between people who do achieve projection and those of us who try desperatly but don't get it.
Some questions, i'd like to ask if you'd be so kind as to answer them, for both people who can or cant project.

Have you projected before?
Do you do it regularly?
Do you find it easy?
Did you have a lot of light meals?
Did you have a lot of heavy meals?
Did you think about the projection attempt ahead?
Were you worried during the day? Anxious, nervous?
What was your emotional state?
Have you been suffering from any ailments or complaints?
Did you meditate, if so for how long?
Are you easy-going or a lil strssed?
Are you doing any extra magical workings? LBRP, Kundalini etc?

Are you relaxed, or ready?

The purpose of this is to find out if there are key things that hold some of us back from projection. By no means this list of questions is no exhausted so feel free to shove in any extra input!

When all I have to do is roll over, it is beyond ease. If you were to tell me to project right now, I'd find it next to impossible.

I project during the morning, if I project at all.

Constantly, but I don't complain.

Not during the morning, but I use the control I've learned through meditation to aide the projection.
Are you easy-going or a lil strssed?
Easy-going in a stressful world.
Are you doing any extra magical workings? LBRP, Kundalini etc?
Energy work, opening the chakras and getting it all running. I get close to the projective state with this, but usually do not consciously cross the treshold.

How are you feeling?
Are you relaxed, or ready?
Relaxed and ready. Mind awake, body asleep.
Do you try to push yourself out of your body, or just let it happen?
I roll over. I used to project from a push-up, but these days I mostly project from lying on my back.
When was your last snack/Meal?
Often over 10h, as I've been asleep.
Did you meditate prior to going to bed?
Sometimes.
Shower or bath?
Irrelevant.
Mental state during the excercise, are you happy/sad? at peace? etc.
Blank. I'm only guided by a shadow of my intellect, incapable of the complex thought I'm used to. This greatly hinders my use of the projective state.
When trying to project are you actively trying to do it or just thinking 'if it happens it happens.'?
I roll over. These days I've learned to stay calm, or adrenaline will wake my body and end the projection.
Did you say any prayers, or mantras as you work?
No. If one projection of mine has ended and I find myself back in my body, I focus on calming down and sinking back to the dreamy state where I can project.

None.

Interesting, makes me think is AP a subconscious action by slight chance?
Personally I projected 1 foot so it felt, why, because I was doing alot of energy moving at that time, if I was going to project I would literally try to move my energy body so to help get in gear, then I'd experience slight AP without my consent.

Depeding on my state of mind. Usually share will does the trick. But if I worked hard that day or had a lot of stress is gets more difficult.

I usually only attempt to AP at least 30 minutes after a meal, one big enough to keep me full for several hours.

Thats circumstancial. The more stress I have during the day the longer it takes for mre to relax and AP.

I aim for calm and collected. If there is a particular emotion I wish to address I carry it from a detached point of view. One that I can examine from a calm and collected state.
Have you been suffering from any ailments or complaints?
As a beginner if I didn't properly regain consciousness I'd suffer "astral bleeding". Where I was disconnected from reality or depressed. As I got more practice this happens rarely and even when it does I know how to handle it.
Did you meditate, if so for how long?
I do basic mediation to enter the calm, collected state of mind. Depending on the amount of stress and the circumstances in which I AP I usually meditate for 10-60 minutes or not at all.

I'm a very mellow kind of guy.

Depends on why I'm projecting. Usually energy work, similar to kundalini.

Usually afterwards as means of grounding myself.

I usually walk the perimeter of the area I'm in lightly touching the walls and various objects to establish a connection with my pyschic body to the area around me. If I'm going to be dealing with any entities I will cast a protective circle and perhaps evoke a guide or watcher.

Some additional information that is applicable; I equate Astral projection to a plain in an airport. If the weather is bad I don't fly. If I don't have enough gas or need maintainance I wait until thats done. If I'm heave and carrying too much bagage I reduce that before take off. If there are pedestrians on the run way I RUN THEM OVER...no really I don't fly. What does this mean? IF the weather is bad I'm having too much stress in life to be affective and safe. If I don't have enough gas my desire isn't strong enough. If I need maintainance I'm not balanced or grounded. If I'm carrying too much bagage I'm either bloated, or dwelling on too much to achieve the clam and collected state. If there are pedestrians on the run way the environment I'm in includes people that may hinder the AP process.

I could complain all day long lol but as far as biological conserns go, I have controllable cancer and a circulatory disorder.

As long as my body and mind need to. Varies...could be five minutes could be several hours. I don't exactly watch the clock.

I am nothing...I enter calm and peace and empty my mind of everything.

Neither. It just does it. I never put any pressure on it...if I have a goal and I do not AP and instead I have a vision, I trust my higher consciousness that that was what I needed and it usually is.

Not usually... I limit myself to one exhaustive practice per day if I am doing it every day.

Absolutely not. I do not believe in anything altering my mind other than my mind.
**I have done astral plane work and meditation for up to 7 hours... I have found that one cannot make this happen by forcing... and if you are not ready it will not happen. Being ready and thinking you are ready are two different animals.

I've meditated with some mp3s of Hemi Sync stuff from the monroe institute. But I've only achieved projection when I'm not listening to anything or using anything.
On a side note, when I do these execercizes I kind of tell my body to die a little bit, that's what it feels like I'm doing, I tell my body to stop feeling my limbs and such until I'm conpletely relaxed.

Been trying to AP on and off for a couple of years, but never really succeeded. There's a point when I can feel it's happening, kind of like I'm opening, but then I start thinking about it and I'm back at the beginning. Whenever I try however, I find I have better, more lucid dreams.
