Codeine dreams

Let me start by saying I have very vivid dreams. I have had some prophetic dreams (although it took me years to realize that fact.) I have had some dreams that continue where other dreams left off, but months or years after the first part. I have also had dreams that were substantial enough (meaning they kept on track and didn't flit around between scenes) for me to write short stories just describing what happened in the dream. Because of this I place a good deal of stock in my dreams and write everyone that I can remember upon waking in my "Magickal Diary" for future reference.
Now, I have been perscribed hydrocodone (C18H21NO3) which has been playing havoc with my dreams. What I mean is my codeine dreams have had the sorta scary effect of being very real. I have never confused being awake with dreaming before...now. I was just wondering if something like this was a normal effect of hydrocodone. Or if it was somehow making me more aware of the dreamworld. I have always related dreams with extra-sensory perception (because of my prophetic dreams.)
I guess what I am trying to say is does C18H21NO3 heighten the intensity of ESP or just makes your brain work overtime during sleep? I don't really expect any one to know the answer to this (although that would be nice.) But has anyone else had similar experiences? Any sort of feed back or info would be nice. I would ask my doctor but somehow "Hey Doc., will this med make me have more or less prophetic dreams?" kinda makes me come off like a crackpot (not that it isn't a good question but my doctor is a man of science and would blatantly laugh at me. He has done so before and my doctor visits are kinda tense as it is.) Thanks in advance.
