I've been finding a lot over my past meditations that when im trying to astrally project i go through this very weird process, my mind slows to a point of almost complete exhaustion when i do my visualisations and mantra, and then for no reason out of the blue i am wide awake an the drowsiness has completely faded, as if i've woken up from a nights dream albeit only thirty odd minutes have passed, is this stage explainable by astral projection progress?

i have a similar experience where, when in a period of intense focus and concentration, i will get to a place where i feel as if i can't take it anymore...

in that state of mind, i'm likely to stand up, walk a little bit and look around,.. but i find, that if im only able to relax, lie down and observe my internal self, i can see very clear, an essense of me.

i think accepting that, and surrendering to it, can bring about some very novel insights.

aside from that, it is of interest to me, to hear about such things as the very minimal requirements of sleep, with a few spiritual aspirants,

it may be that there are elements of the mind, that do not require a normal period of rest, do not need to coincide with normal sleep, and can be refreshed just as well, in waking consciousness
