I was just curious, does anyone know if its possible to accumulate physical scars from nightly astral travel? Now every night when I goto sleep, I wake up just as tired as when I went to bed and the last thing I remember is the night before, havent dreamed for a really long time. But some people believe every night we astral travel, if we remember it or not. But I have 3 scars on my wrists and hands that I have had no physical injury. a triangle on my right wrist, another on my left wrist, and in between my left thumb and my pointer there is another triangle scar. They are all under 1 cm big. Now the 2 on my left hand and wrist are relatively recent, under a month. Thanks for your taking the time to check out the post.

well i dont know much on astral travel either but ive never heard that people can astral travel at night. well i remember somewhere that in order to astral travel you must be in a dream like state like daydreaming but im not sure about what you go through.

I'm not saying that I necessarily feel that this is the most likely explanation, but have you considered alien abduction?

I'm still undecided about whether I consider the phenomena to be an actual physical experience, or something other, but lots of self-labelled abductees report similar unexplainable injuries upon waking. I suppose it's not inconceivable that these experiences take place in the astral. And, I wouldn't be surprised if the mind could cause injuries to appear on the physical body. Just think about stigmata.

This is all my own speculation, so take it as nothing more than that.

I used to wake up with small scars too. Not from astral travel. Just regular night sleep / dreaming. Sometimes I would have the exact scars on my both hands on exact place.

im not sure try to experiment on this and try to see what it is like video tape yourself when your sleeping i dont know it's my opinion but try it out or something like this if you relly want to know.

I've never had scars after sleeping, but then again i rarely astral at night because i'm usually too tired! It's possible that you're travelling in your sleep without knowing it, but you should be able to remember that at least in dream form.

If you are not dreaming and are still tired when you wake, then perhaps you should consider looking at other aspects of your life. The tiredness could be caused by stress, and this would also explain the lack of dreaming.

If the above doesn't ring a bell, not to get you panicky, but i think what the post said earlier about Alien Abduction being possible on Astral Planes could be very true. If we can tap into other planes, what would stop anyother form of life from doing so?

Anyway, like i've said, i've never experienced any form of physical injury after OBEs, but that doesn't mean that it isn't possible.

it is possible. And experienced it myself(and other who have it far worse then me)

basicly when in astral travel and you recieve a fatal wound there, or to more accurate a devestating energy leak. your spirit will try to find a alternative.

That alternative is your body. It's like a big battery filled with energy. So it draws the energy from there, making you awaken tired. Now if you body and spirit are conected somehow(like in concious astral travel) a wound on the astral form will usely manifest in the fisacal plane. Perhaps you are being hunted on the astral plane by something.
(hope me didn't scare you)

before you ask, yes I believe your spirit leaves your body everytime your sleep(well almost every time) to go home, even if just for a moment.
and you don't need to be in a waking state to astral travel, I even had my own multiform active on the astral plain while I was just walking in the city. As it got in trouble so did I. And I needed to provide it alot of energy for it to escape, or I would have suffered alot more.

the remedy: try telling yourself to remain on the earth sphere, videotaping yourself can't really hurt either. if your curious and got guts intead command yourself to become aware when in danger. the first solution is the eazyest but might not be the best.

Along the same thinking as strangeDivine's post, it does sound like the classical "alien abduction" syndrome. Whether or not any of that is true, I have no idea, but I Google'd a couple pictures you can look at to see if yours match:

If they're really bothering you, a doctor could X-Ray your hands for you and see if anything's in there. Of course, you'd probably have to make up some story about why you can't remember, because they'd most likely lock you up in the hospital if you claimed it was aliens or astral entities.

I just posted on off topic = occult about the scars I woke up with since I was a kid . They never appear as cuts however but scars . The oldest are probably about 13 years old and have yet to fade .I have had many scars in my life that has come and gone ,but these stay . Those two scars are on opposite arms on the same spot and same length . I dont think they are a result of alian abduction as I live in the suberbs sarrounded by houses .

Instead you hear about town local yokals that was walking home late at night from the local pub and started seeing little green men proding him in the butt . If we have been visited by alians I wouldn't count on them thinking much of our intellagence so far .

Actually I have heard of someone being abducted from their apartment in the city. There was also several witnesses to the abduction. The witnesses just happened to be foreign nationals. Their cars just happened to die right outside of this apartment building at the time this person was floating out of the window. I'll try to find the story and put a link up here.

I don't know about the significance of physical scars after astral travel, but astral scarring happens often. I remember dreaming, many times of growing wings, flying and waking up with sore shoulder blades. Awhile back, I broke my collar bone and shoulderblade in a dirt-bike accident, and it seems to act up in awake/sleep/hypnogogical rhythms.
