We all are aware of the magical benefits of grounding, but I ask you. Have you ever considered the Spiritual Ramifications of it?
After all the Gateway to the Spiritual World is through the Earth, or the Womb of Death which is the same thing.

I noticed some of my bigger discoveries was when I forgot to ground myself. I know this isn't a smart thing to do and I've been lucky so far... someone is looking out for me. When the discovery is made I get overwhelmed and that is when I remember to ground myself, but the knowledge is obtained from the incident.

I have a question on grounding techniques. The ones that I have used that i like are the roots one and the one where you send your energy into the earth(i visualise a beam) but the thing is I can only do it if I am on the ground. If I am in my house in my room i cant seem to do it. I just cant visualise it at all and this is where i do my meditiating and stuff, so anyone ahve any good methods for in a house? I think my problem is that i dont feel connected to the earth at all when i am in mu room because it is above thew ground(the basement is underneath) so i think that is why i have difficulty that as well as my base chakra is very underactive in the first place which i m sure adds to my difficulty in grounding.

Dragonstarr, Grounding is about connecting to the physical world, so really it doesn't matter if you are on the ground or not, wood is Earth, concrete is Earth. So you could just try approaching it from another angle. For instance sit in a chair, imagine it turning to stone and then it connecting to you and your turning to stone.

You can ground anywhere. You don't have to be on the ground.

If you feel you must ground from the Earth itself, why not just visualize your roots growing out of yourself and out through the windows to the ground outside? Or visualize them pushing through the floor and down through the basement? Our connections to the Earth are never severed by simple floorboards; as was said above, wood is Earth.

When I was very young I walked through life pretty much ungrounded but at the same time was very open for the spiritual world. I later discovered that the spiritual world makes what it wants with you if you're not grounded and that can be a problem.

I remember the first time I saw auras. I saw everything and everyone glowing in wonderful lights and colors. When my "teacher" wanted me to stop this I had a problem with it. In fact, it got so strong that I didn't feel well physically. My teacher said he'd help me. He stood in front of me and suddenly pushed me on a ground, though shocking me. That was when I really felt my body, the earth beneath me and I saw the world as I was used to. Quite an experience, lol!

I'm not a firm advocate of grounding. Grounding a child isn't going to help because they have all those toys and stuff in their room.

now...ok...So I visualise myself grounding....do I stay grounded when I stop thinking about the grounding? Will I feal anything diferent once I am grounded? I understand the visualisation, and the theory, but am still not realising the reality of it. Or something.

When you're grounded your thoughts and emotions are more clear and focused. You don't "day-dream" as much as when you're not grounded. You feel better and more lively.

How long does it last? It must have some limitations, right? Is there more to doing it than JUST the visualisation?

Sex, eating natural products and sports are also Grounding techniques. Then there are stones, like the hermatite and others, which are good for Grounding. Red socks also work.
