Recently I have been visiting a Satanic forum.
Despite my personal problems there, I have decided to re-read the LeVay Satanic Bible and poke around a bit more in this subject.

Could some of you chime in here with whatever you think about all of this?
I would really like to hear the views from the members here.

Do you mean what are our views on The Satanic Bible? Or perhaps you mean our views on LaVeyan Satanism? Could you please elaborate?

My personal view of the Satanic Bible is that it is newbie stuff and I am past that stage. My view of the Church of Satan is that now it is pretty useless, and doesn't look like a particularly good place for either spiritual or material development.
I don't see Leveyain Satanism as a bad thing, I just see it as another outward form of certain universal truths. Like any religion or mystery school, there will be those who get it, and those who don't.

Yes, the SB is the 'satanists primer'. i think that its good reading mtl. for those who are new to satanism.

The Satanic Bible,as well as all of LaVey's works,is well-written and is a must-read for all Satanists.Remember,however,that Satan was around for thousands of years before LaVey.There are many books and points of view on the subject.As I always say"the research never ends".Let your heart and mind be the guide,and if you truly seek Satan,you will find Him.How do I know?Because Satan is a powerful god who rewards those who serve Him.Satanism is like a room with a door.Anyone can open the door,but to really know and learn,one must walk through the door.And there is no reason to walk through the door unless you are planning to stay.May the light of Lucifer shine upon you! Hail Satan!

It's a good book but many things he wrote were already written. He just got more attention than people who wrote them originally because he used the term "satanism" for what he wrote but most of what he wrote is very logical and true.
