I was just curious since I could not find the thread I started before if there are any other members creating tarot, oracle or meditation decks? I have been doing various projects since 2004. It is a time consuming endeavour but I find it is also very rewarding. Presently I am working on my photo tarot deck and this will be a deck with very minimal photo manipulation. My other decks are in pencil color and just sketches waiting to be done so I do hope to have some work to show in the art forum through out the year

I still have a set of tiles that I created for the purposes of divination and use as an exercise in connecting symbols through the different aspects of myth and legend. The tiles are one inch square indigo glazed ceramic with a symbol engraved and inlaid on one (the glazed) side. There are 123 tiles with symbols drawn from Egyptian hieroglyphs, Hebrew and Greek letters,Alchemy, astrology and general occultism. I still use them occasionally.
Many years ago I was working with a 'living Tarot',looking for aspects of the Tarot (Major Arcana mostly) expressed in everyday life. The idea was to meditate at length upon a chosen Trump and then to either attempt to see it in action in the outer world or to incorporate it into my day.During this period I also sought to find a connection to the next Trump and hopefully I would work my way through the entire Tarot Trumps in something like order seeing each card as an initiation with clues along the way. It became a quest. My quest was unsuccessful but I intend to return to it and starting again, complete the working

I have never created a Tarot deck, but I have once created a card set for color meditation and divination. I simply cut up pieces of cardboard as evenly as I cold, then I used crayons to color the cards and then wrote the name of the color on it. Then I used a kind of transparent tape to make the cards more durable. So now I have a tool for divination where the correspondences and meanings of a color is what I read and it can also be used for divination on a color. I still have that deck among my ritual supplies.

I have never created my own tarot deck but I very much like the idea.Any way to personalize and spend time with magical items is a way to heighten their potential power.Constructing a tarot deck would be a monstrous task but the end result would be a super-personal,easily-read deck that would seem to me to take divination to a new level.I think I just convinced myself to start on this project myself!!

Yes it is a huge task my one deck has taken 8 years to work on but then again that is not working on it full time, other decks I am working on takes a lot less I guess it depends on your medium you use and how inspired you are.
