First of all, here's a tip: don't come into an Occult forum and refer to occult topics as "crack pot ideas".

Second: I would look in to why the "wealthy farm owner" demolished the original house, and who may have been there before. Places can be "cursed", but it takes something to make it that way - something that would cause huge distress, which unfortunately leaves a lot open. Horrible murders, tragic accidents, long-term abuse; all these can cause a place to reek of negativity.

"First of all, here's a tip: don't come into an Occult forum and refer to occult topics as "crack pot ideas"."

See,all you did was TAlK about your house and you've already gathered negativity, lol!

Just joking, but yep,bad idea to be disparaging to the folk you're asking for help.

Aliga says it well.I recommend a cleansing of the land and house. It can have whatever Religious flavour or Occult crackpottery in it that you feel comfortable with, lol.

Seriously though, a cleansing/blessing might be the best thing.I 'm sure a Christian pastor would do it if you asked, that is if you are of that persuasion,of course.
It's not uncommon ,here, for this to done. Our local Parish Church was cleansed and reconsecrated after a woman was murdered/hidden in it.The congregation seems happy enough there, since.

I 'm sure most,if not all World Cultures/Religions have some form of reblessing/consecration/cleansing rituals for houses and lands..

My advice is to look into the history of the land. There are many things that could of caused the original house to be torn down. Maybe the man found things in it that was evil, at least to him, and he wanted to start clean. Maybe the man was cursed by some evil or maybe the land was cursed by Native Americans. Most of the places that we live on use to belong to Native Americans and people dug up dead bodies so that they could build on. Do research and see what happens.

Good Luck Man. Hell, you seem to have gotten a long line of something.

All of these ideas are good. I can offer nothing but encouragement. May you solve the problem, and may this line of bad luck come to a sudden and concies (I don't know how to spell concise (I had to look that up)) end. I believe in you and your ability to deal with the problem. I do hope you will look for help from a local priest or any expert on the subject really. (Old Mage, Hedgewitch... anyone who has the Old Ones looking out for them.) Good Luck.
