I haven't done personal study on this, but what this guy posted seems like good information, anyway. So, here it is:

It's about how people refering to Lucifer as Satan is incorrect, because Lucifer really refers to the planet Venus. Well, according to this post anyway. But, I don't know, read what he has to say.

It is pretty well know in theological studies, even in catholic and christian schools that Lucifer which means light bringer, was a misattributation by one of the popes or whatever.

The devil is not actually named in the catholic bible and is only referenced as ha-satan meaning the adversary in original jewish text. It was changed from a lower case pronoun, into a upper case name when the early christians translated and created the bible.

The name for the actual angel that "fell from heaven in rebellion " if you follow jewish lore from the apocrypha is Samael.

Over the years the title satan has been claimed by many and much has been attributed to this name that doesn't have anything to do with the original adversary Samael.

There is no Lucifer, nor Satan and the correct name if we are talking about the god that gives to people, communicates with people then you all are talking about B'aal. Satan is an idea that was created by man it doesn't exist "lUCIFER" was a Babylonian King. "TRUE KNOWLEDGE" is hidden deep its not something you can just go pick up a book or join a group and get.

So you say Lucifer doesn't exist then you contradict yourself and say he is a babylonian king...

In my view, reality is infinity and "Lucifer" may exist, even in multiple ways, such as a thoughtform created by those who believe in him as the Adversary, as well as an angelic figure and, of course, that infamous king as well.
