Me,I am particularly fond of satire and sarcasm when not indulging in a wee bit of Glaswegian irony.

I also like my laughs on the Anarchic side,so the Young ones and Comic strip are TV faves from yeteryear.Blackadder is another old show that I absolutely love too.

Jimmy Carr - can be a bit hit and miss sometimes but the word plays are brilliant.
Russell Howard - like Jimmy, sometimes hit and miss but brilliant.
Black Adder's absolutely fantastic!
There are probably many more but as I say - later :-P

I like slapstick, intellectual humor, satire, political humor. I like Mitch Hedberg, too. And Billy Connolly (although, I'm actually not very familiar with his stand-up. I know him firstly and foremostly from a couple of American sit-coms he was in).

Russell Howard is cool too.I love when he parodies news stories.
Muslamic Ray Guns got a play on his show,re the EDL interviews on the news.It was hilarious.I posted it somewhere here on the forum. [grin]

Jimmy Carr is someone I also think can be right on the button at times and at others not so much.He seems much more at home when he's playing to a foil,slagging off other comedians on panel shows,for instance.

Rich Hall is another guy I like,he can also be a bit hit n miss too,but I love his Otis Crenshaw character.

Reginald D.Hunter is anothe US import that I find very amusing too.He's very in yer face,confrontational,but it's smart with a twist.Sinks in slowly.

Ironic how that Eddie Izzard video is 4 minutes and 20 seconds long.

I saw bill hicks, but surisingly no George Carlin.
Carlin is, in my opinion of course, the smartest and funniest guy around. He didn't give a shit about if he offended anyone, he always made a great deal of sense with his bluntly honest style of humor, and he was just plain silly. I mean he even turned a subject as terrible as rape and made it funny.
and he also is probably one of the greatest philosophers of our time.
