Just for fun, is there any kind of magickal system or path that you hate and why?

Man you just know this thread will devolve into a few hundred people bitching about wiccans :p

But personally, and I don't want to validate what these people do by calling it a path or tradition or a 'type of magic,' but the kids (usually kids, though there's the occasional sad adult) who want to feel special, but don't want to put in the effort required to progress, so they decide that they're an "energy vampire" or a reincarnated dragon or a spirit wolf or some absurd BS which is conveniently completely unverifiable and requires no effort on their behalf. It's a shame how far into delusion some of these people sink, especially since they're wasting time and effort they could spend undergoing genuine spiritual work and growing as a person. And then you have other people who indulge them and play along, which just drives them further into their constructed fantasies, which imo seems pretty irresponsible.

Because they go from sickening 'everything is fluffy and light' to passive-aggressive whining and accusations if you dare to be something they'd rather deny existed, since BAD you are 'bringing negativity into their world'. (In other words you aren't like them and dare to disagree.) I've never seen anybody make such an art out of lying to themselves as these, its impressive actually. Its equally impressive that they don't see how statements as 'No, I never become angry, I'm above such negative feelings' are taken as a challenge by the surroundings. [eg]

See, Rin! Wiccans are faaar down on the list, they actually only annoy me when they insist their 'laws' apply to everybody non-wiccan as well.

Cold readers masquerading as Psychic mediums,that's also a choker for me.Big button pusher,all those charlatans who make tons of money from lonely,vulnerable and desperate,grieving people.

And basically anybody who's holier or more persecuted than thou and also dogmatic anally retentive types who want everyone else to conform to their restricted views of the Universe.

Any Religious orthodoxy that upholds one gender,sexuality ,ethnicity or skin tone as being above the rest.

I'm sure there's more,lol,but that's my starter for now. [thumbup]

Contemporary Christianity

I agree with all of you. [thumbup] Christianity of any kind annoys me because I grew up with it and I'm still surrounded by it. The only thing I like light and fluffy is a pastry. LaVeyans seem to hate me so I'll include them. If you want to be atheist and believe nothing exists outside of the material that's your business, but don't call my path bullshit just because it doesn't mesh with yours. [evil]

Hate is an energy that enslaves the person embracing it.I don't usually care enough to hate, but I must confess that any practice influenced by Christianity fills me with dark energy. Islam to a slightly lesser degree. The extent of this anger is directly proportional to the degree of christian involvement. My reasons for this are complex, but to put it simply, I dfislike things that enslave men's minds and fill them with self-rightious loathing and contempt for people seeking spiritual freedom.

um, any magic which does not have a predicable outcome. I say if you cannot predict your outcome you ether 1. don't know what you're doing and 2. are probably doing nothing in reality.

oh and anyone named Serenitydawn who does not, on every post, include the full version of her avatar . Not putting up the pic should be considered impossible thus such actions I would consider advanced magic in it's own right which I also hate lol
