Need help to control my power.

Hi,

I have been practicing for more than 15years (i was around 12 when i started practicing) without knowing or following any particular schools of magic. As a result, over the long 15 years my power increased tremendously but i lack control over my power. My magic is dangerous and hard to control. If i want to lightly punish someone there are only two possible outcome either it won't work or it will severely punish someone. Furthermore, i can't use my magic for any personal gain. But, on rare occasions i can do some life changing magic on myself. I find it easy to do harm with my power but its hard for me to do healing and good. On rare occasion i can give people boon but if i give someone boon they will move away from me and become successful at expenses of the people surrounding them. It brings good luck by giving bad luck to others.

On the other hand i am almost immune to others magic. I can manipulate or change others magic. 15 years ago i barely have any magic but now i can feel magic flowing inside me. When i started practicing i couldn't even move a cloud, but now whenever i feel like it sky becomes cloudy ( It depends on the weather condition, if there are clouds nearby it happens quickly or it may take few hours to days).

That's my short story. I joined this forum because there are many experienced people here who can advise me on how to control my power. I don't need to increase my power but i need to control it.

I guess what you are lacking is mental and physical discipline which both come along with each other. I found in this forum already a bunch of things you could do, don´t hesitate to use the search function.

If your case is really so severe like you described it I would recommend you Franz Bardons famous book (pdf) "initation into hermetcis".

Franz Bardons idiology is a kind of crap in my personal opinion, but his magickal work is never the less great. THe first grades of his system practice should give you what you seek: Mental control and discipline. But it will not come over night, before you are laying hard training over a long time!

Yup you are right. I am seriously lacking any kind of discipline. In all these years, i only pushed my self to increase my power. Never bother to pause for controlling it.

15 years is a long time, even you receive at least one power a year after 15 years you can do a lots of things. My wishing power is my first power and i think its inborn. Even as a child i was always aware whenever i use this power. Thanks for the link i will check it out.

I think i have inherited and also born with some power. Later through practice regularly and channeling the power from Allah for about 15years, my power developed to current stage. From time to time the way to use new power pops into my mind. There are few powers i can only use on rare occasion and there are few powers i can use when ever i want.

Now tell me about your source and power.

If you worship Allah, perhaps you should explore Sufism. I don't know much about Sufi practices, but I know that some sects (or all?) practice magic. It would be great if you could find an experienced teacher to help you. Perhaps you can use your power to bring attract such a person into your life.

I'm an solo practicer who mainly focuses on Golden Dawn magic. My magic comes from books.

Unfortunately the real Sufi's became extinct about a century ago, now what we have are fraud or powerless.

I'll second the Bardon recommendation (I'm a fanboy, I know :p ). The first few stages especially are all about self control and mental discipline, and the various accidental ramifications of power is something he dealt with in his own life.
