Last night

Hiyas!

So like. um.... I had a really strange experience last night. Has anyone ever had trouble sleeping, with a feeling akin to pressure, though not sleep paralysis? It wasn't an emotion, and it wasn't just in my head, it was an actual physical sensation that felt like some sort of vibration throughout my body. I can move easily, but it just felt really weird. I didn't have any weird dreams, and I ended up waking at around 2:00. A similar thing happened last month on the 4th, but that was a very complicated incident. I know my description of the event is kind of weird, but has anyone ever felt this before? if so, what is it?

Were you half-asleep/sleepy when this happened, or were you wide awake and trying to get sleepy?

I was waking up and half asleep...between sleep and awake for part of it, and then actually awake and I still felt it. So you can say during the entire waking up and awake part of the sleeping process.

Based upon the information at hand, I would guess this was the early stage of an astral projection. You'll also notice that you sometimes are in that twilight state and then you jerk; this is the astral double snapping back. Having become more involved with occult matters you will develop more of an awareness than you may have had before. That being said, if you haven't already, you may want to begin to look into cleansing and banishing rituals for your space. That's a general recommendation, not the assumption there is something nefarious happening!

Sounds sort of like the classic "Vibrations" syndrome. If you haven't read "Astral Dynamics" then you are doing a huge disservice to yourself. It's one of the few books I would say is a MUST read.

I agree, you sound partially projected, which would cause the weird "pressure not paralysis" you described.

In addition to Bruce's Astral Dynamics, are you undergoing a program of specific psychic training? I don't mean studying the trappings of different magical systems, but actual brain calisthenics.

I dont quite know what that phrase means "the trappings".
*googles calisthenics"

To answer your question, I'm not. They sound fun though.

I've started reading Instant ESP, but i'm no where near into the book where all the cool stuff is at yet.

I'll hunt down and read it.

I greatly appreciate this! I've been a little concerned about the cleanliness of my room for a while now....I've been doing as much as I can, but I don't really know that much, lol.

You could say that different styles of magic are like playing different sports, with different goals, rules and equipment. The beliefs that go with each, the items, etc etc, are the trappings of the magical system. All athletes, however, do much cardio and strength training and stuff so they can be the most badass athlete ever, right? Do some psychic cardio and strength training and it won't matter which "sport" you play, be it witchcraft, ceremonial magic, or whatever.

I skimmed that book last week. The mechanics it teaches are not as intricate as other introductory books for occult exercises. Robert Bruce has several books that will get you to literally feel the psychic energy going through you. He also wrote this thing called New Energy Ways that people seem to love. Astral dynamics is complete tome on astral projection. I bought it and it actually bored me after a while because there's so much information, and I just wanted to learn the basics (and maybe he's not a great writer). You seem to love information so perhaps Astral Dynamics is the better buy, but, you may want to consider his 90 day astral projection guide if you just wanna learn how to do it.

Another writer that may be good for you is Gareth Knight. He writes from a Christian perspective, and he has a book called "Occult Exercises and Practices." You may also enjoy his book "Experience of the Inner Worlds," which is like a Christian occult textbook with more exercises. I don't think Knight's stuff is available for Kindle, though.

Uhh....um. Can you refer me to some specific banishing/cleansing spells? I had a dream, but I'm not sure if it was just a bad dream or what. I do know that I didn't exactly set up my protective stuff last night...soooooo...yeah.

I was just thinking...is it possible to make a sigil mantra for this too? I was thinking about it when the author mentioned the different vowel pattern.
