Hi...I'm Manali from India. I'm in my final year at college now, doing my bachelors in literature. I got hooked into the occult traditions about three years back. Something awful happened and to cope with it I sort of turned to occultism. Unfortunately I didn't succeed much and the problems still persist. :(

I'm really looking forward to learning a lot here. The team here is very helpful!
And thank you Vashta, for helping me with the registration process! :)

Hello Darkwing and welcome,

What are some of your specific areas of interest? I have a hidden agenda for asking!

Hidden agenda? Haha... :)
Well.. I've dappled in hoodoo and a bit of candle magic. Very recently I read up some stuff about the different mantras of Hinduism. Actually I'm open to anything, all of it really intrigues me. I've heard that when you're stressed out it's hard to perform anything successfully. So..I have to work on that.

What's your agenda? :P

My hidden agenda is I worship Lord Shiva and this is the core of my magical system. Since you are in India I was wondering if you also had a connection there.

Sorry to ask but aren't people very strict in India about practicing anything related to occultist (That is if they find out) ?

Welcome by the way Manali.

I personally haven't had much experience with Lord Shiva, but I do have a friend who had been adviced to worship this particular deity regularly for his general well being. In fact my sister, too, was asked to pour milk on a shivlinga once a week to curb her temper. But she was young and she didn't really continue with it. At any rate, Shiva is considered one of the most powerful deities of my religion.

Thank you for your answer.

I heard something in an interview I thought you might find interesting. It is a presentation of some of the more exotic explorations of the remote viewers who were employed by the Army. One of the types of beings they encountered they called 'transcendentals. None of the other entities they saw were aware of them or could actively black their perception of them, except these transcendentals. They could find nothing about them except they can appear in whatever manner they want. I believe these are the Devas.

At about 10 minutes in the clip.

It's alright!
Well, in India, it's not exactly the wisest thing to publicly proclaim our personal beliefs and practices, it can land us in trouble. But they are getting somewhat tolerant by and by. So unless I do something absolutely outrageous that appears to threaten them, I think they wont mind so much! :) And occult is an area of interest with me, I don't think it would make much of a difference even if it was known. (Except that they would think I'm "strange". lol)

That was a very interesting lecture there! I've heard a lot about remote viewing but somehow (having begun as a severe skeptic) I never knew what to make of it. Here, two people have reported having seen the same thing, that says something.

About devas, or any deity for that matter, I always thought of them as personifications of energy fields rather than actual living forms. I may be wrong, but I believe the Hindu deities specifically, were personifications of natural and elemental phenomenons like wind, water, rain, fire, etc. I didn't think you could see them in such a concrete manner. This is really intriguing. Thank you for sharing it.
