I'm looking to track down a copy of the 'Dictionnaire Infernal' by Collin de Plancy. This is the text that many of the images in Mather's edition of the Goetia are taken from. I bought what I thought was a copy of the book which was titled "Dictionary of Witchcraft" but it seems that this is something completely different. The book that I have has a cover like the ones below.
Note the difference in the above titles: Dictionary of Witchcraft and Dictionary of Demonology. Are these two entirely different books? As far as I recall, my copy is from the 60s and has the bluish cover with the title 'Dictionary of Witchcraft'. The book I have does not give details on specific demons and has no illustrations whatsoever. Are the above two separate books?
The most promising edition I can seem to find is in French, does anyone know if there is an English version available that isn't insanely expensive?
I'd be prepared to settle for the french one if I knew it was at least the book I am looking for.
