Echovox Ghostbox Question

I recently downloaded this app called Echovox. It's supposed to be a ghostbox and I have read nothing but mostly good reviews. I have become familiar with the settings but everytime I turn it on I get so many words coming at me at the same time in both male and female voices that the software can't keep up with it. I can't make out what anything is saying cuz its as if at least ten people were talking to me at the same time (maybe more).
Maybe theres a setting that I haven't set but i've through all of them on the app and messed with them. I've also seen how to tutorials and went through one just to make sure it wasn't a settings issue. I have been a student and practitioner of the occult for years now and wonder if that has anything to do with it. Plus throughout my life i've had people call my name when noone is there, grwoling, pounding and footsteps when noone is there, my stereo and blue ray player turned on by themselves, etc.
I would really want to use this app but it's frustrating because theres so many words going through at the same time that im surprised the software hasn't crashed. I've enabled the audio blend and turned on the echo, adjusted the mic gain and moved the speed controls around but still it goes crazy. As far as I have seen and read nobody else is having this problem. they get clear words and sentences coming through it and not a whole crowd of words coming at them at the same time to where u can't make out anything thats being said. Any help would be appreciated.
