In a honey jar I've read that you need a personal item. All I have is a rose they gave me and a Christmas gift they gave me. Is that ok?

What kind of spell is this? For their health and prosperity?

Honey jar spells are usually to make a person nicer or 'sweeter' to you or in general.

The personal item is also known as a 'tag lock'. It's what connects the spell to the target. Usually personal items are considered hair, nails, skin, etc. Since it was a gift it is now technically yours. Using something like that doesn't always work right since the taglock is now yours. You don't want to end up spelling yourself (unless you need to be sweeter).

From what I was taught

The Object:
No, not ok it must be something of theirs something they have had close to them would be best, hair clip, key chain, comb, or something they cared for so if they took care of that flower themself before giving it to you, watered it or nurtured it etc, then that will work as well as they have indirectly charged the flower with their energy.

The Honey:
Really anything can work including Maple Syrup lol But Raw aorganic bee honey will give you best results
