Putting videos IN your post

Obviously some of you already know this, but since I just figured it out I thought I would share.
If you want to put a YouTube video IN your post, instead of just a link...

Find the video you want to post from YouTube. The address will look something like this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVjezsQfrW0

Highlight and copy the characters after the =
(this one is gVjezsQfrW0 )

Start your post. Where you want the video, click the youtube button to the far right above the text area.
(you'll see what I'm talking about when you start your post)
The cursor will be within the brackets... paste the characters you copied.

In my example it will look like this...

...minus the quotes " (I had to put those or it would have actually shown the video).

That's it. Hit preview to make sure everything looks ok.

Just a tip to add to this:

If someone is using tags you never seen before and you have no idea how to use them, quote their text using the quote button. This will include the tags, so then you can examine how they have used them.

Code: Select all

For example if you quote this post, you will see how these tags are used.
Here is another example video for you to see how it is constructed if you quote the post

URL used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtulTGxJdDc

par to enclose between brackets: LtulTGxJdDc
