Hi there,

Do you like this place? Do you want to see more discussions by more people on more topics?

Yes?

Then please let your friends, family, peers, pets, anyone you think might be interested know about this place. Get advertising and spreading the word that OF is here and accepting new members.

Word of mouth is the best form of advertising - if you want a more lively forum, then please see what you can do to attract some new members.

Thank you [thumbup]

It's not the number of opinions, but the thoughtfulness and quality that matter. Why would it be better to have to scroll through mountains of stupidity from novices and kids before getting to something of value? If you are eager to "Get the word out there?" Why not become a christian? They are into numbers.

Absolutely, couldn't agree more. I've been a member on plenty of forums that ended up getting flooded with crap.

Because everyone has to start somewhere - nobody enters into a study of the occult knowing anything much. Having the ability to check ideas and study notes with other much more advanced occultists, like yourself, can be extremely beneficial. Yes, you will get stupidity and idiots who think they know everything, but these people will be dealt with. Members who break forum rules will be warned, and then removed from the forum if needs be.

I've been an Evangelical Christian - I was one of the most intense Christians you could ever imagine. [grin]

I don't know if you are aware of the history of OF, but it went through a period where it got badly hacked, and a lot of very knowledgable people simply stopped coming here. I've had some of these members express surprise that OF is back again - they thought it was gone for good. Getting the word out there will attract good people as well as not so good ones. It's up to people like you and I to tell people we know who follow interesting occult paths and practices that OF is back in business so we can get more quality members.

You obviously don't need to advertise this place, if you don't want to. I'm not holding a gun to your head. [grin]

Sure, why not. More discussions - good ones - won't hurt and can only be beneficial.

I'd like to, but no one I know would add much to this community. No one I know is interested in occult, or at least I don't know about it. Somehow, I believe I'm not the only one around here that has very small amount of people IRL to talk about things discussed here.
