Hi. I'm relatively new to the occult. In high school (almost ten years ago) I was introduced to Daoism and got really into psychedelic music. This was when I realized that there was more truth out there than Christianity. Eventually I became an atheist, agnostic, Buddhist, and now I don't know what I am. I guess pagan. [crazy]

I'm interested in Theosophy, Druidry, Satanism, Yoga, Daoism, Wicca, and Chaos magick. I'm an artist and musician (although I don't play or create as much as I think I should.) I recently got out of a relapse with alcohol which is one reason I'm reaching out for other lifestyles and hopefully interesting friends. I'm kind of pushed into going to AA (long story) which is a philosophical challenge to me.

Anyway, enough rambling. I look forward to talking to everyone. [yay]

Nice to meet you. In my experience a lot of occultists have musical backgrounds. I'm sorry to hear about the alcohol problem. I hope everything works out well for you!

Welcome. You certainly aren't the first or last occultist to struggle with substance abuse issues - it's actually quite common amongst spiritual types who have trouble fitting into our hyper-materialist world, especially those who've yet to settle into a firm system of belief and practice.
