New, and seeking guidence

hello occultists!

I am very new to the occult but i have a great passion to it.
i have read a few good books already.. some of Michael W.Ford, and a great book of Karlsson named Qabala, Qliphoth, and goetic magic.

i have a really strong interest of working with entities of the goetia and other entities as well..
however i am aware it is not a game, and that i should be knowing what i do and to be prepared..
i do feel like i have a bit of understanding about this type of work, but reading on here, i see many suggestions to strengthen first the body, the astral body, and to meditate.
now after reading your suggestion i feel like i should go a few steps back and to work on it...
therefore, i would like to ask for a suggestion of a good books who can guide and teach me this techniques.
i dont know if there are certain "styles" of meditation and astral projection techniques for a focused path, but as i said,
i would appreciate your suggestion and direction.

thank you for your time and sorry for my not so great english.

Hello and welcome to the forums.
If you are determined to go with evocation you may wanna try these books. Kraig's Modern Magick, Summoning Spirits by Konstantinos, and Franz Bardon - Practice of Magickal Evocation. Then for more advanced books check out this topic. But these 3 above mentioned books are well suited for beginners.
However if you are not in a hurry then I and many members of the forums here suggest to work with Franz Bardon's Initiation Into Hermetics. This teaches you almost any kind of magick and strengthens you as a magician in general. It is intended for complete beginners. Good luck! [thumbup]

I learned about meditation and such, sadly I have to recommend him, from Part One of Book Four by Crowley.

Thank you very much for your suggestions!
I'm having a struggle with understanding the part one of book four by Crowley
Maybe there is something more precise about timings to start with and how to develop a good foundation
"Step by step" book?
Thanks again
