Hi, not sure this is in the right forum but I figured that since alchemy could be traced to ancient times it may be appropriate here. What is the best book I can buy that covers quite a lot of ground on alchemy but at the same time keeps it pretty basic?

The Path of Alchemy by Mark Stavish
Real Alchemy: A Primer of Practical Alchemy by Robert Allen Bartlett
Alchemy & Mysticism By alexander roob

Those 3 are the most recommended books on most sites. But I also want to add "the golden chain of homer". It's not a beginners book, but I feel like I got a much deeper understanding from reading that, than what I did from some of these beginners books.
I highly recommend getting the real book by Gregory S. Hamilton, you can find the pdf online and it's usually about 60 pages, but the printed book is over 300 pages and contains a lot of commentary and notes that makes it fairly easy to read.
