I like the image you use.

Many years ago I was watching the sun setting at 9pm and noticed the sun disk had flat sides. After a while I figured out that I was looking at a duodecahedron.

I saw the flat sides again the following midsummer

If each of the 12 creative hierarchies of the zodiac contributes a duodecahedron the composite looks like a sphere

Read quite a few books on theosophy back in the day.....but its been awhile since I've seen any relevant exploration of that current...furthermore....it is such a broad philosophy...that sometimes, its difficult to approach. Some roads can be too wide and others too narrow.

In regards to theurgy, divine magic....HGA work has been a fun exploration of mine for many years now. Theomagica has some good books/blogs on the topic.

My own view is that incoming spirits need to be tested.

The first form I used when a spirit made a statement was: That's interesting. Prove it!

I had some most useful answers.

These days I do more direct tests: sniff quality, feel intent, and measure plane of operation
