Good morning,
I am looking for the meaning of a symbol (photo attached).
I have a feeling it looks like a rune, but maybe that's a red herring.
An idea ?
A suggestion for a path to follow to continue my research?

Cordially,
bocib

Looks like the 9 Realms glyph from the Norse.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your help.
I'm not sure it's close...
I had also thought of: Aegishjalmur or "Heaume de Awe": symbol of invincibility :
I think that's the closest thing, but it's not there yet.
Maybe I should look on the side of Hindu culture, what do you think?

The tridents suggest sea gods.
A trident indicates control of three cosmic energies

Thank you for your help.
Indeed, this symbol had been found buried in the sand on the beach. The symbol had been engraved on a small metal plate.
The idea of the trident is therefore interesting.
But why 8 tridents?
And above all, what meaning can the 4 semi-circles that straddle the large circle have?
Ps: it can also make you think of a kind of geographical rosette, right?

A compass can be regarded as showing 4 primary and 4 secondary directions.
The 4 semi-circles might indicate supports for a carved structure or seats at a ritual table.
Visualize such a ritual table and feel if you are drawn to a particular "seat"
