Do What Thou Wilt Is The Whole Of the Law.
Greetings.
I was initiated through Aiwass shortly after the attacks on the Twin Towers in NYC on 9/11.
I was contacted by the Divine prior to that, sometime in the late winter of the year 2000.
I was granted a symbol that opened to reveal a prophecy of War (the war on Terror).
After being devoured by the White Brotherhood, I was a vehicle for the prophecy of the destruction of New Orleans.
I was devoured by Apep shortly after the prophecy, but not prior to its enactment.
I have since struggled greatly with my rise to Adept. I do have a Divine Name but choose not to reveal it here. Instead, I wish to illuminate others on the Law of Thelema, which is Greek, and not to be confused with the Jew. While the Tree of Life is an important tool, one that is necessary for initiation, the result in my experience has been to abandon the Jewish interpretation for the Greek, though the Jewish can adopt it, they administer certain Laws and regulations for their devout, which I am not now, nor have I ever been.
The Law is Do What Thou Wilt for a number of reasons. First, it is the initiatory Truth of the Neophyte, or any person coming of the Age of Discovery (typically upon being liberated into Adulthood, or thereabouts). Many individuals simply advance in their path of schooling and religion without questioning its use and validity. In the Age of my initiation, which was the 1990's, I was especially uncertain of my future and the meaning of life as reward for effort, what to do with my intelligence and art, etc. I have been in hermitage for the last 20 years and am uncertain of what the current faith in Man may be.
The 90's was a time of great evolution, one that we have not seen since. The advent of the internet and cellular phones exploded the means and reach of communication. We have not had any advances that could compare since.
As I stated, Do What Thou Wilt is the Neophytes Law, where the young Magician Philosopher begins to consider their method and history and purpose, and begins to rise in attempts at bringing about one's Will.
In effect, we are always doing our Will, and so it is fundamental to the Nature of Free Will that this is the Law. However, there is the wonder that it is the only Law, so as to say "Everything is allowed" as the Psychonauts say.
The Truth of the matter is that everything is True, and that everything is permitted. The right of Kings is to defend their wealth and power at all costs, as per the revelation of Machiavelli. This is not to say there is no crime, only that the former method of Law was now something that could be broken if necessary. There is crime Divinely. Breaking Oaths and contracts is punishable, Unwarranted destruction and murder is also. So too, is theft a crime, as well as rape. In matters of War, there is no Law, but in matters of love, there is; for love is a contractual arrangement where we exchange.
And so the word that is named Sin is restriction, and the Sins of old, i.e.; Pride, Vanity etc, can be converted into Virtue. The Law of Do What Thou Wilt is the Love of the Gods, and the gift of trust to Man to be free, and to know Wisdom. Love is the Law, and we are to do what we Will with Love.
