If i constrain a demon as outlined in traditions, will the demon always obey and be constrained to perform the task? Or can the demon intervene during the constraining ritual and release its binding by making the constraining ritual fail?

Yes, but one should keep in mind, "traditions" you're referring to, were "engineered" to be abusive and were "engineered" to have tendency to result in negative consequences, with "karma" built-in.
If you're able to chain someone and to force them to do your bidding, then they will, because of all that "force", but all chains turns to rust eventually..
