Incantation and Language
Out of complete curiosity, those of us that choose to practice a heavily ritualized magic might be far more in tune with the power of incantation and language. That being said, when amidst your practices do you choose to speak your native tongue or have you found that older languages (hebrew or lati...

Re: How to get answers?
There are a number of ways to get answers by entering non-drug induced trances and sleep. However, it really depends on the philosophy or practice you subscribe to. Furthermore, seeking answers from what I like to call the aether is a fairly advanced thing that takes a lot of mindfulness, patience, ...

Re: And here be a new one
Primarily I study beneath the banners of some greater people, Crowley for instance. I pray, meditate, and have recently begun the journey of opening myself back up to these worlds. I am not as eager to take up the philosophies of newer practices. I find myself more interested in the old.

Re: And here be a new one
I don't know much about the occult, so I hang out here to learn from cool people like you. Reading your post was the first time I read the word angelology, so that made me curious to know how you define demons and angels. Your definition is different than some other occultists I've read about or co...

Re: And here be a new one
Yes, I was being serious. Even if we limited ourselves to discussing a single religion, the word God can have more than one meaning. It's one of the most complex philosophical topics of all time. I agree to some respect that all things supernatural are indeed a complexity, especially when flying th...

Re: And here be a new one
Welcome to the forum [grin] Many thanks! I see. So, what do you mean by God? Frankly, I can't tell if you're serious here or not. If I was speaking of a God as opposed to the God I would have used the name. Although typically one assumes that if there is no name attached to the God being spoken of ...

Re: How would they have revealed themselves?
Do you think our ancestors in ancient times were far ahead of us or not in philosophy during the classical and ancient times in philosophy and had already made certain breakthroughs even? Since a lot of knowledge was lost in the dark ages including of medicines? In some regards, perhaps. In spiritu...

Re: And here be a new one
Mmmmm, your story is interesting. Welcome Sweets:) Many thanks. Hope to gain some more insight. I've never heard the word angelology until now. What is the difference between a demon and an angel, MadRik? Nice to meet you. This conversation could become a heated debate incredibly fast. You could ar...

And here be a new one
Hello to all. I'm a bit of a lone wolf when it comes to my studies in the occult and some might call me more of a dabbler than a practitioner of any one sort. I've delved into witchcraft and have some mild knowledge in demonology and angelology. I lean on the side of light but have a fascination wit...
