Forgive my rather ignorant question, but I am somewhat new to the occult scene (having come from a fundie household, ironically) and only became capable of acquiring books on magick and the like after moving away for college in June.

Many Gods have sigils or symbols that are attached to them; in my works with Ares since age 16 I've used the symbol of Mars - or as most people know it, the symbol of masculinity.

But I've recently stopped working with him for a brief period of time to regain the dreams I had when I was a wee Christian lad and told I would be a prophet (they stopped shortly after I began to openly shun God, along with memory of almost any meaningful dream) by attempting to evoke Morpheus. I've been lighting Nag Champa incense and requesting what I want before, during, or right after the lighting of said incense, since the first few nights after I meditated and vibrated his name, after I fell asleep I began to have dreams of a woman I know, and was unable to focus my attention on any other female for any length of time because the dream had caused such an impact on my mind.

This was also aided by a roommate giving me to Morpheus as an offering, after suggesting it to me.

It ended well, as you can see.

So recently I've begun the incense along with the statement of what I want from him in return. But I believe it might work out a bit better if I had a symbol to focus myself on and envision as I "meditate myself to sleep."

Does anyone have any suggestions of a book I could acquire that might have such information on other deities, or perhaps a website if the only books are difficult to find?
