An experience with the Planetary Septagram Ritual

A few days ago I did a Planetary Septagram Ritual with the intention of opening the gate to Yesod. After having done so, I stood for a while just sensing the energies before closing the gates again. Then, something interesting happened...
I felt the sudden urge to fall down to my knees, not because I felt forced or awe-struck but simply because it "felt like the right thing to do". I did so, and in my mind I was suddenly kneeling by a stream of water. The stream had a primeval and very old feel to it, and the surroundings was if not desertlike then at least very dry with little vegetation. The sky was dark red. I cupped my hands both physically and mentally and drank from the water. After that the visual ended, and I woke up from the trance state.
After the ritual I had a period lasting several days with various positive side-effects (all relatively low-key, but still having a pronounced effect on my mental state).
I do have a few ideas of what might have happened and why, but I would like some thoughts from others as well. Any input at all, from whatever point of view, will be greatly appreciated.

sorry i really dont have anything but a guess on that, i just found out about the "PSR" can you please tell me, is it to be used after the pentagram, and hexagram rituals? and is it ok to just use it everytime i open my circle?? i have been using just the 2 and i read the new Poke Runon book and learned about the septagram ritual. in the book it seems like something they do everytime they open the circle??? in your opinion should i do it everytime? or are the pentagram, and hexagram rituals enough??? thanks very much, and i apologize if this has been asked 100 times! im new and am pretty locked up in reading already! i didnt even think to search until now. thanks again
