Help needed!

I know I have just joined and already asked alot and without seeming redundant I wanted to know a little more about where I should start. I am specifically interested in becoming a thelamite and was wondering what should I study to build a foundation for my ceremonial magick practices. Right now all I've been reading is either about or the Goetia, and Enochian. I know these are very advanced things so I wanted to ask if anyone had some suggestions as to what I should start with. Should I study the qaballah first and formost or what. Again so sorry for pestering and I really apreciate any help!

kabala would be a good place to start for magickal theory, but not necessarily for thelema specifically. don milo duquette i believe writes good books. i've never read any of them, so maybe one of the other members can elaborate on those. and of course, if you're studying crowley's magick, you should start by studying crowley. i've heard many suggest that to understand crowley's magick and philosophy better, you should read his autobiography, and maybe one of the better biography's around. and of course you should get liber ABA ASAP.
other than that, i would suggest studying golden dawn type material as it is quite abit like thelema. reading some golden dawn books (and the stuff they derrived their material from, Agrippa, etc.) will help you get a grasp on more of crowley's background, since he was a member of that order and very influenced by them.
