The Importance of the LBRP

Post by Occult Forum Archive »

Being the ever struggling armchair magician that I am, I actually made some progress that really dawned on me today.

While finally getting around to doing daily ritual today after a 9 day period of laziness, drunken stupor, and failing commitments, I realized that I forgot to closedthat last days set of ritual with the LBRP as I usually do. In fact, I Looked back further to see that I did not even open with the LBRP, I didn't do it at all.

I told myself that I didn't need it, and I just wanted to practice new stuff, which I did. But the next night, I broak on oath I gave to myself (not drinking soda), got piss drunk, had the worst hangover to date, forgot or didn't feel like doing ritual, got lazy, unmotivated, lost faith in self, lost sense of purpose, etc etc.

Now, it's not really my goal to be the world's best magician or whatnot, but I'd have to say that the moral of this story to you newbies (even the eternal newbs like me) is to never neglect your LBRP. If you're one of those adepts that has truly gone beyond its need then I tip my hat.

It's either that, or didn't mercury finally get out of retrograde today? I can't remember.

P.S. I friggin hate this new keyboard. It replaced the one I spilled water all over.

Greetings fellow Armchair Magician & Eternal Newb!

I've been doing it on & off fer a short while now...Thus far I've not been in a hurry so I figured if I wanna be lazy, so be it. It was not all that special till yesterday (friday) when I was doing it like normal & my visualizations REALLY kicked in! (is Raphael supposed to *nod* at ya?) And I really felt it's 'power'. I think I might get it into a daily routine now.

Tonight (last night?) my friends all said I 'looked different' I blamed it on the 'divine light' *smirk* *shrug*

Funny, I don't feel any different!

Q

P.S. I hate staying up till morning then refering to the 'yesterday' and the 'day before' as I'm never all that sure what to call them...

I usually don't feel too much power from the LBRP, it's effect on me is more subtle, yet on a deep level.

I tend to find much more power and energy doing other rituals and techniques. But never will I forget the LBRP when doing a ceremony, unless I truly see for certain that I do not need it, which is almost never.
