Anyone had any success in the area of healing?

I guess this isn't that much about ceremonial magick since I was the only one of the group who explored these areas.
I wagged school a few years ago with some friends to get a crystal and do a healing ritual, it was a Pagan-ish type thing but I didn't care [DAY OF SCHOOL!] the healing apparently worked, she never said what her sister had but I remember she was in the child care ward and she apparently healed really quickly after that.
We were seen like 20 times before we even got on the bus so we were in heaps of trouble when we got back. Oh and the ritual was a circle type thing at the beach, Mel bathed the crystal in water and put it in a cloth which she placed by her sisters bed. I remember reciting a prayer to Freya, which is odd.

Back when I was quite a bit more into the Norse pantheon and Asatruar etc. and when I was considerably more fluffy I healed myself of a horrible case of molluscom contagiosum which I had been told by a doctor wouldn't go away until all were frozen off. I was at Panama City Beach for teh weekend and late at night I was compelled to go walk the beach. I left my condo (Friends condo really) and started walking the beach, picking up shells. After about an hour I arrived back in front of the place I was staying and layed out on a wooden chair on the beach. I began praying sporadically to Odhinn and Freya to heal me of the problem and to help me not to scar badly and afterwards I threw the shells one at a time into teh ocean as a pseudo-offering and paid my respects to the deities. Within the week the spots started shrinking, 'popping', and dissapearing. I have some scarring from it but it's not horribly disfiguring.

Thank you for your contributions. I work in the healthcare field and am constantly surrounded by sick people ... I wish there were some alternative methods to help them. I would love to hear some healing success stories and which deities and/or rituals may have helped.
