I see many references to this, especially when dealing with infernal spirits. Some lead just a handful, others control legions into the hundreds.
I assume it is refering to the first definition:
Main Entry: 1le·gion
Pronunciation: 'lE-j&n
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Old French, from Latin legion-, legio, from legere to gather -- more at LEGEND
1 : the principal unit of the Roman army comprising 3000 to 6000 foot soldiers with cavalry
2 : a large military force; especially : ARMY 1a
3 : a very large number : MULTITUDE
4 : a national association of ex-servicemen
Many other's are princes, generals, or dukes...While I am interested in the heiarchy of them, I'm even more curious as to what do they do with the legions under their control?
