Directories and Hierarchies

What directories, if you will, of demons, angels, or any other entity do you know of?

I know of the Solomonic directories of course, and the one in Bardon's PME, and, if you count it, the miniature one in Summoning Spirits. Other than that, I am at a loss.

I am not quite sure what you are meaning by "directories"?

I think I understand, but I am losing my monitor for tonight...

I will post more in-depth tomorrow, monitor permitting that is!

Directory as in a listing of entities. I think by saying Goetia you will get my drift.

There is the Necronomicon for infernal entities, and Hinduism has a thorough listing of divine beings, as does Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

I don't really hold much faith in the Necronomicon...however, I am interested in the Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist listings. Are there any books you can point me to?

What is the Goo-Gle you speak of? Where can I find this ancient text?
If I went to the effort of starting a thread, therefore having you people exert yourselves to help me;-), you can take for granted that I have already exhausted my resources. Google is the second place I look, the first being here.

7) Do use the search feature and do take advantage of search engines such a google.com to see if your queery has already been answered fully somewhere else.

You really should try searching the boards here, then if that fails you should try google. If you are not finding things in google try expanding, or narrowing your search.

I also have a great book called "A dictionary of Angels, including fallen Angels" by Gustav Davidson.

You might also wanna check out a few of the other books listed in the book list here in CM...there are quite a few with angelic & demonic listings.

Davidson's Dictionary of Angels is great!

Try these as well:

Dictionary of Demons by Fred Gettings
Three Books of Occult Philosophy by Agrippa
Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible - Van der Toorn
[Don't be put off by the title it is an exceptional and scholarly reference that I consider invaluable].

Heptameron of Peter Abano
The Arbatel of Magick

[Ouroboros Press recently published these two together in aesthetically pleasing bindings].

Sworn Book of Honorius
Heptarchia Mysticae
by John Dee
The Magus by Francis Barrett

Hope this helps,

Frater Omicron

Frater: I have all except for Dictionary of Demons and Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the BIble. I will look for these.

Q: As I mentioned before, I did search the forum and google, not to mention some other search engines I use. I have on my computer all of the listings you gave except for the second, as it is html based. I rarely use these as they are much less convenient than pdf's. Thank you for posting them anyway. I don't have that book that you mentioned, but the next time I go to Barnes and Noble (it's almost open, going to be 2 stories) I will look for it. The only physical book focusing on demons and such is A Field Guide to Demons, Fairies, Fallen Angels, and Other Subversive Spirits , which, to my suprise and disappointment, ended up being almost entirely mythology. Oh well.

I should be more specific, Does anyone know of any Evocation-friendly listings? A listing directed towards evocation and ceremonial magic.
